Julian Rowe is popular:)
Hmmm...bit of a **** up with that one Hosko.
No Ricky Dyson? The bloke won't make it past #18 at best.
Essendon's players - Clarke, McLean, Adcock & Stanton - none of which are tall defenders. One who will **** off to the Saints in 2 years time, I who is overrated and can't kick, one tough flanker that we already have a surplus of and a flash in the pan flanker/winger.

You're already righting them off they're not even Essendon players yet.
Clarke is less likely to **** off to the saints than you think. Look at our history with Aboriginal players. And Dyson could very well go second round not everyone has as high opinion of him as essendon supporters on this board others have said he lacks intensity and Consistency and is a second round selection. I haven't seem him so can't really comment only go on what I've read.
bozza, u seem to have a bit of a love affair with ricky dyson. do you perhaps know him from somewhere or something?

I reckon your pretty much spot on with freo's picks, but I think we would go for Mclean over Dunn at pick 10 if he was still available.

No pozzo. Just seen him play for Epping/Northern/Vic Metro and rate him highly. marcuz is another who shares my opinions.
One of my mates happens to be mates with him but that has no bearing on how I rate him as a player - I've never met the bloke.

BTW i changed adcock to trotter cos i had to add dyson.
Just on the tall defenders, i don't think therte is any worth taking unless we go for one at pick 13 and i don't wont them to do that as long as Chaplin is already taken.

Well, make that Clarke, McLean, Trotter, Stanton.
I'd be happy with that, apart from the lack of a tall. McLean may be overrated at #13, but to get Trotter at #28 would be a steal.
As for Clarke, if he wants to leave, what matters is what we get in return.

I reckon you'll be surprised come sat bozza.
If Essendon don't pick him up with pick 13 I reckon he could be the big slider. Essendon have mentioned a number of names but i haven't heard them mention Dyson. I reckon other guys like Trotter, Waters, Burges, Spaanderman, Symes and Nash could all be the big improvers and maybe slide into the top 20. I will be very interested with the AFL website guys mock draft. He usually does a bit of research in asking clubs who's in the ball park. A lot of people's opinion on players here and a lot of the mock Draft's are very similar b/c they are based on second hand information. Some kids on here are very overrated while others hardly get a mention at all ie Waters. The footygoss draft was very different and I expect the AFL one to be also.
Anyway on Dyson I know Wells is a big fan so pick 22 could be on the cards. I really doubt Essendon will use pick 13 on him. Looked the goods last year but like Moody struggled this year it has to be said.

Means jack to be honest. They didnt mention Winderlich last year. They didnt even interview Jason laycock who they drafted with pick 10. Same goes for Shane Harvey...although after the way he ended up maybe they should have interviewed the "sook"

Had injury worries this year, groin problems if i recall correctly yet even through those injuries he finished third in his clubs B+F and made All-Australian. If he does slide then i think he will be one of those players who comes back to bite teams in the arse.
I would love him to fall to essendon at 28 as that would be very much a steal.

rumour has it that essendon are looking at bradley pick 6!! as in a few years the tall defenders of fletcher and wellman will be past their time david trotter pick 13 jed adcock at pick 28 but jed has glandular fever and im not certain if they will take a risk pick 44 is open for a developing player such as mark johnson, mark mcveigh

Who did you hear these rumours from. McVeigh isn't exactly classified as a developing player given he was a top-10 selection. Bradley as a key back in the Flecther mould seems the flavour of the month at the moment

Well Burgan's PD is in and Dyson is at #28 (how's the irony). Seems highly unlikely he will go top 20. I actually agree he has a huge upside but he won't get picked at 13. Guys like Trotter, Stanton, Spaandermann, Hall, Waters, Burges, and Nash all made the top 20 as I said a few posts ago.
Guys like Morrison, Dyson, Surgen, Moody, Gayfer, Spencer, Johnson, and Steward all slipped, in relation to the BigFooty drafts, according to the footygoss, H/S and AFL website PD's.
Those guys have done some research into what clubs are thinking so i would think they have a better idea of what the go is.
Ricky Dyson seems to be a little bit like Anthony Corrie last year, he ended up sliding a long way in the draft.

Stewart at #57 is interesting. Perhaps clubs aren't impressed with his work ethic (or lack thereof).

Im talking about how essendon have used mcveigh over his career, started down back as pocket player!!, was used of the bench and now as he is fit and strong within his body they have introduced him into the midfield

Where have you been for the past four years? McVeigh started his career in the forward pocket, struggled for consistency, was moved into the back pocket so he could do a job and now he gets the opposition's best small forward each game.

LOL Spike was a specialist back pocket this season. He ran off his opponent through the middle when he could, and at times he played as a tagger on an opposition midfielder. But he wasn't an onballer, or at least, he wasn't for any significant amount of time.
If he's going to be used in a more positive role next season, then so be it, but that has no relevance to the role that he played this season just past.
As for objecting, I object to people I disagree with.

yeh my mate used to friends with him at parade, and my cuz played footy with him at epping. but i havent seen him play. u seem to be the only one who rates him highly tho. there are a few that have been brainwashed, but when doing phantom drafts of course ppl will want others opinions.

Point taken BigCat but I feel Burgan has made a howler this year. I know this comment could very well come back and bit me on the arse but that is just the opinion I have of it. Last year for example I thought his PD was very good.
We will all see on Saturday I spose.

Certainly will Bozza.
I don't think it will be that far off. It has become clear now that guys like Waters and Trotter will definately go in the top 15 which wasn't picked on here.
It's just great to get a different opinion. All the drafts on here seem to be very similar. Guys like Spaanderman, Stanton, Nash, and Symes have all shot up. We now have about 30 guys who supporters on here will be rapt with if they get them in the top 20.
Can't wait
