So Read, Harvey and presumably Ricky Mott will join Stevens and Rawlings in the PSD. Apart from possibly Copeland, are there any others likely to nominate for the PSD (other than any of the above that don't get picked up in the national draft).

Millsy is a very good player mate, a great athlete and has very neat skills i just dont think spud was a fan and his injuries also didnt help.
Wouldnt be suprised to see him end up at a club like Carlton or Melbourne.
cheers

Surprised Ben Nelson didn't nominate - I guess he doesn't want to leave home again
Surprised not to see Simon O'Keefe's name there. Given the lack of quality ruckmen in the draft, you'd think he'd get picked.

He could also be in the 2 minute draft.

What was the story with him delisting a young RUCKMAN is strange. No good or more to the story.

Starting to firm as a rookie list option I think, maybe at Essendon, maybe elsewhere. Otherwise he would certainly have nominated for the ND.
David Bourke, when will you take a hint?
Who will go first and at what number...I reckon Shane Morrisson will go in the early-thirties.

Grounds? They've both been great for Westies in '03 and under the right AFL conditions they can go the whole way into the starting 18.

The Crows have been screaming out for a ruckman, If Marsh cant make it it before Biglands and Clarke who cant take a mark between them, he is not going to have much chance at any other club.
And Koulouriotis is a good SANFL player who will not take the next step, He should stay at West and play in the next best competion below AFL.

*if* Marsh can't make it? From what I can recall he played a few games for the Crows, unremarkable maybe, but was sent back to West after injury, not through fault of his own.
Why won't Koula take the next step? That I'd love to know, considering how much Williams was talking him up as being in the top 22 if he wasn't injured, and then when he wasn't injured he was left in the West side even through breaking of team conventions.

Didnt Choco say at the end of last year Koula only stayed on because he had a year to go on his contract? And if he wanted to be offered a new one he had to play the majority of games this year?
Cant remember Choco talking him up, but you would know best on that one.

Williams not only said that Paul would be in the 22 if he wasn't injured (5AA) but also that Paul would have to be at the standard of being able to play 5-10 games if he was to be satisfied with him enough to offer a new contract (I believe this was also on 5AA).
Paul was named as an emergency 4 times (rounds 3, 12, 15 and 18) in 2003 and improved through the season, playing an outstanding finals series coming back from a shoulder injury (right acromioclavicular), so there's pretty much no question that he was at the required standard.
I was told that Williams in fact did said a couple of players were saved by being in contract, but they were assumed by supporters to be Che Cockatoo-Collins and Paul, he didn't actually specify them.

If Che Cockatoo-Collins was "saved" by being in contract, how has he ended up in the draft?

This was at the end of '02, not '03 - he had a year to go and salary cap restrictions meant the Power couldn't pay out players who were mid-contract at the time of leaving the club.

Ricky Mott will join Stevens and Rawlings in the PSD. Mott may not be included in that list because he was only a rookie listed player in 2003.

Yeah, same reason why Luke Weller isn't in that list. Still training with Brisbane and a chance to get re-drafted. I hope we re-draft him. He had better be. Should never have gone in the first place  He was on the rookie list and is not listed in that list.
All Rookies that are delisted are automatically included in the draft and didn't need to nominate, so yes, Mott will be in the National draft.

Exactly right. I'd do anything to get Matthew Clarke back to Brisbane.

I find this Mott issue interesting. Pretty sure he was elevated before he was delisted. Does that matter?
I see Matt Burgan has him in the ND.

I hope the Swans give Aaron Rogers a chance, or rookie list him at least.
He was straight away on the back foot I feel when he had to go down to Victoria.
He's one of the most talented players to come out of Sydney for quite a while....

I guess you did not hear John Reid on 5aa, after your boys got knocked out.
I dont think the Crows think that highly of your ruck brigade.
Besides I didnt call him a hack, you said it for me. ;)

Paralowiepower is right. Paul Kouloriotis is a hack. If other teams rated him as you have mentioned in other topics and other teams overrated him like you do, he would have been picked up in the draft. But he wasn't, so go figure.

Yes.. yes I believe it is. the pre-listing of international rookies and the pre-listing by some clubs does not alter the actual rookie draft itself. by making if any less of a draft.
