For any Chisel fans that are out there, Chisel's keyboard player and main songwriter, Don Walker is doing a FREE gig tonight at the Highlander Hotel, Gillies Plains. Should be great fun.

There is also a story on page 20 of today's Advertiser that Big Bird and other Sesame St characters could be appearing at Crows games.

Is it also true that:

Bert, Ernie and Oscar the Grouch (special comments) will call a game?
Kermit the Frog and Animal will take over as Boundry Riders?
The Swedish Chef will now take over the catering at Footy Park?
Instead of the "Pride of SA" the new theme song will be "C is for Cookie"?
("Rubber Ducky" and "Who are the people in your neighbourhood?" must also be contenders)
Remember kids, todays Crows match was brought to you by the letters A, F and C and the number 23.

Seriously, why cant we have decent pre match entertainment? The dancing girls are great! But celebrity tug of war??

What's wrong with an U 17 or 19 match before the game? It was great to be able to watch the VFL U19 game before the Crows v Hawks match at York Park last week.

Don Walker is a very good musician and one of the top few sonwriters in Australia but has got one of the most boring voices I've ever heard. Strictly a backing vocalist. Still, I'd probably go if I was in Adelaide.

I'm old enough to have seen Chisel a few times and follow the members careers pretty closely.

You're right about pre-match entertainment but the whole ritual about going to the footy has changed completely. Every Saturday we used to start getting ready for the football at about 10:00 and get there no later than 1/4 time of the two's. Living in the country I actually miss the SANFL and the enjoyment of the whole day more than I miss being able to go to AFL games.

When the Crows started they used to have a game on before. Generally someone like Edwardstown primary U12 blue team was playing but it was still entertaining and a big buzz for the players.
