He got all his votes against Sydney in round 14 and although he has only being with us a year, he is skating on thin ice. OVERVIEW: Staker made his debut in Round 17 against Hawthorn and made an instant impact with a goal from his first kick in AFL footy. He kicked 2 goals that day to go with 8 touches and 2 marks. After that, you couldnt get him out of the side and he played the rest of the year including the Elim Final against Adelaide. Whilst he wasnt dominant, he showed glimpses of what is in store. A solid rookie campaign and I, like many other Eagles fans, am expecting a big 04 from the youngster. Season Rating - 5.

Last Year - Knee

PLAYER: Chad Morrison

OVERVIEW: Coming back from a recon you could say that Morrison's return was somewhat of a success. Managed to play the first 9 games of the season consecutively with some solid performances along the way. Had 20 disposals against the Saints in round 3 and backed up in round 4 against the Crows with 23 touches. Also had 19 touches against Melbourne in round 6.

His comeback year was cut short by another injury, this time not so serious though, but he couldnt force his way back into the side. Being given another year to prove himself after the injury problems and I hope he can once again become a fixture in our 22 next season, whether he will or not is yet to be seen. Season Rating - 3.5

PLAYER: Trent Carroll

OVERVIEW: Was almost a constant fixture in the 22 this year which probably speaks volumes about our backline. Managed to string the first 10 games together before being dropped and then he was in and out of the side for the rest of year, playing his last game in round 18.

His shortcomings are well documented but he always tries hard and you cant fault that. Let's hope he pulls an Embley next year, either way he will probably be a big part of our plans next year considering our options down back. A worry. Season Rating - 4.

PLAYER: Kasey Green

OVERVIEW: Probably a disappointing year from Green. He only missed round 4, 20 and 21 and also played in the Elim Final but considering what a good year he had last season, his follow up year would be viewed as disappointing.

Last year he teamed brilliantly with Jako and Hunter on the half back line to great reviews from most WC supporters and despite being solid this year, he didnt standout as much as last season. Still he is a good player and put in a solid year, not everyone can be a star and I hope to see him in our backline next year. Season Rating - 5.
