The old warrior himself. Courageous and lead by example. Not the most skilled but his presence on the field was always intact and his never say die attitude, could of got a better send off in my opinion but he remains his leadership role in the club, that at the top, the senior coach, possibly the man that everyone at the club has looked up to the most over the years and continue to do so.

He gave the best of shirtfronts in every year of his career including the 'from me to you" one to a young chap named Byron Pickett, who since then took over in those steaks. Also the snap goal on the run that he got in on of his last games

The absolute ultimate leader! Today's best captains like Voss and Hird pale in comparison. In fact whether it be today or in the past, I cant think of a better leader. Big reason why we won two premierships because every guy in the side wanted to do their bit for our inspirational captain.

Wasnt even that good a footballer, but that didnt matter. One of the absolute greats.

I only got limited exposure to his greatness, but watching our Grand Finals on DVD (thx GoEagles:)) the guy was a real leader. And with the wonders he has done in the past 2yrs as coach, his legend as an eagle continues to grow.

I am still bitter towards Malthouse not playing Woosha in that Final vs Bulldogs. We got thrashed. Woosha may not have been the difference but he could have gone out with more Dignity. He gave his all for our Club. He was, and still is, the Heart and Soul of the West Coast Eagles. I know that he was injured but, similar to Steve Waugh, pain can be overcome by courage and commitment. Its a pity Malthouse is unfamiliar with these qualities. Footy is an emotional game and things like that are hard to forget. Maybe I should get over it but I will never forget the sight of Worsfold trudging across the ground after the game. There was no honour in that for our great Leader. I am delighted he has returned to the Club as Coach.

GO EAGLES!

Malthouse is a narrow minded hippocrite and I am glad he decided to move east, but that was after he ruined our culture and sent a few champions out in a sinister and undermining way. We are starting to recover from the late Malthouse and Judg years

Agree 100%. Its funny how Malthouse has 'changed' so much since he moved to Collingwood. Before, you wouldnt have really known how he felt because he didnt show emotion. Now we see him openly weeping and hugging his players. Why the change I wonder? I cant help but wonder what Eddie Everywheres influence has been on Mick. I used to respect Mick but unfortunately I cant say I do these days.
