not a bad pickup, though surprised Port picked him up at 39. He's pretty calm and collective and doesnt panic under pressure. Has a hard work ethic but is not a tough physical player.
Tagged Kerr out of the game in the second half against West Coast after he was blitzing Essendon in the first which was a great effort by him considering he played reserves the day before.
I could see him ending up at another club because he works hard and gets a lot of the ball if let loose as a midfielder.
But #39 to Port? Never saw that coming. I was thinking pick #70 to Richmond/Carlton.
Almost as bad as Stanton at #13. :(

Stanton at #13 isn't actually bad. He's just a smoky, not actually crap.
I'm astounded that we picked him at #39. I mean, did we think someone else would grab him before #46?

That's true, but there were more sensible selections. We've drafted Reynolds, Winderlich, Walsh in the past two years, and recruited Alvey this year. Not sure why we thought Stanton was a good pick.
Although, if I somehow convinced myself that we picked up Dyson at #13 and Stanton at #44, I'd be happy (although, I would have preferred Adam Bentick). :D

Possibly Kangaroos at #40 according to the Draft Show. Guy with a double-barrelled surname - we must be after the disenfranchised Norwood supporters ;) . And it's just like having an extra player in the side...
