The amount of reject spuds that were picked up this year is clearly evidence of how poor the draft must have been.

I mean Forster-Knight in the 30'?

Never seen so many delisted players and mature age recruits from the VFL/SANFL in a draft.

Pretty pleased Hawthorn traded away our hand in it to be honest, although I wouldn't have half minded Cooney.;)

top 12 or so are pure class. It did taper off quickly after that though.

Yeah, the top 11 did pick themselves and then after that, it seemed to be a bit of a lottery.

Happy with the net result of Croad for Dunn.

Was thinking about that deal over the period since the original swap in 2001.

I know there were some complications involving McPharlin etc, but does the deal effectively work out to be something along the lines of:

Ryley Dunn for Luke Hodge?

If it does, then Freo look to have salvaged things up remarkably well. I rate Hodge lower than what others do, and while he's still a talent, I get the feeling Dunn has a superb artillery at his disposal that will please the Docker fans for many years to come.

Yeah, basically McPharlin and Dunn for Hodge and Mitchell. Can't complain... could have been worse.

Good Salvage job.

I hope Dunn (who was a steal at 10 I think) turns out well if only to keep the Hawks from gloating too much :) )
