I thought I would see who you all thought posted the best and worst leading up to the draft period?

IMO

Best

1. Although he gets under peoples skins, Oggmonster did have a few come true.

2. Marcuz with some great replies.

3. Northboy, ditto.

4. Yakuza a good all-round effort.

These blokes went missing.

1. PhatandPhreaky

2. Pattyroo

3. Falconer02

4. Bulletproof - for been married to Oggmonster.

Your thoughts?

What about GoaldenHawk, behind Oggmonster he provided the best info on the draft. HIs profiles were very enjoyable even if his phantom draft was a long way off.

My apologies to GOALdenHawk, I simply overlooked him, he should definately take the number one spot from Oggmonster.

GOALden Hawk, Dasler, Yakuza, Weaver for mine. Oggmonster did naught but make a few correct predictions.

Did naught...but made a few correct predictions. If I'm not mistaken, how many people did make correct predictions other than the Oggmonster. The Top 7 in order (Top 8 really because Raf was always going to the saints), Beau Waters before 13, Will Gayfer late pick if at all, Brent Stanton to Essendon if available, Ricky Dyson not in the first 2 rounds. I can go on if you like.

Yeah, Phantom draft was a bit of a shocker wasn't it. I'll put the blame on an even group of draftees. ;)

Although I still maintain Surjan, Gayfer and Stewart should have been selected, and Rowe was worthy of a much earlier pick.

I'm not saying that wasn't a good effort, but given that you really didn't provide much else, I don't consider it good posting. On the other hand, Goalden - and others - tried to provide some insight into the games of the youngsters, and thus why he thought they would go at a certain pick.

I think Stewart chances were gone when he got 4.5 for the beep test at draft camp. Very Loose behaviour from Stewart and clusb cant afford loose cannons these days.
Would have to be a record low, even the unfittest footballer alive could get upwards of 7 with even half a effort. You have to wonder why he even bothered going to Canberra (Maybe for the Porn who knows) if he was intent on ruining his chances.

Marcuz is not just a comic but a draft guru lets not forget. He did predict Essendon would take Dyson in the official phantom draft remember which they duly did. Only problem was he was 38 picks early. Tossbag.

4.5! HAHA! Even I could do that on the bit without training. He has apparently returned to the Knights in shocking shape, come last in every running session.

But I didn't get to see the draft camp results (other than the top 10) so I had no idea he was THAT bad. It annoys me a guy with that much talent isn't prepared to do the work.

The phantom draft was not an exercise in trying to mind read the recruiting staff.

Agreed. This kid needs one mighty kick up the arse.
