Listening to the 5aa interview over the phone is good stuff.

Chaplin is apparently pretty stoked about coming over now, which is good, and his Dad especially thinking it'll be good for him to be interstate, with his Mum being convinced by Stewart and Pelchen that the club would look out for him. Has got a younger brother.

Apparently Port were the first clubs to talk to him, before the draft camp. Then they were one of ten clubs talking to him at the camp, but after the camp only Geelong and the Kangas kept talking to him (obviously why so many had him going to one of those clubs).

He likes Adelaide, particularly the beaches, and apparently also got to check out the Power facilities last year on some training camp.

He seemed to reckon he'd get senior games next year which is either a sign of good confidence and determination, or overconfidence likely to end in disappointment. We'll see which it is soon enough.

Preferred position is CHB.

His brother is 14

Can't say I'm surprised we were first to speak to him coz he would've been are #3 priority, after Cooney and Bradley IMO. I guess we'd talked to him enuf by the end of the draft camp, and nobody really expected him to last to #15.

He did say he expected to play most of the year in the SANFL.
2003: Wakelin, Paxman, Bishop, Thurstans, Morgan
2004: Wakelin, Thurstans, White/Cornes, Bishop, Chaplin
that's how i see it

Very happy he prefers CHB to CHF, 3 capable CHF's is enough for anyone.

And one more thing confirmed in that interview...

I heard the interview too although not over the phone. A bonus that he is rapt at coming to Port.
Porthos how do find out about an interview on 5aa in Sydney?

As for a solution to KG...... well subtitles would help.
