Flash Gordon and Starship Troopers are awesome films - I don't know how anyone could have them in a list of worst films. They are trash but GREAT trash.

Battlefield Earth on the other hand is quite possibly the biggest pile of poo committed to celuloid in cinematic history, although the remakes of the Time Machine and Planet of the Apes give it a run for its money.

I didn't mind WaterWorld too much.

13 Days though is a brilliant movie.

His best work is "No Way Out" an excellent suspense movie.

Worst movie ever is "Plan 9 from Outer Space" but that's because of its budget etc.

The worst movie I have seen that is supposed to be good is definitley "The English Patient" - just boring.

Your probably one of the only people on earth that didn't enjoy the original Jurassic park. It was revolutionary and has spawned numerous copycat movies since it's debut 10 years ago. The sequels weren't up to the originals level but were still so much better than most of the other crap that gets screened these days.

Jeepers Creepers and Crossroads were off the top of my head, the worst movies I've ever seen by a fair way.

As for some of the other movies mentioned, I actually liked them as they were often so bad they were good or were just plain simple fun. I enjoyed Waterworld (to a degree, the movie was never going to meet it's enormous costs but it wasn't that bad really), Freddie Got Fingered (spose you have to enjoy the Tom Green Show to appreciate his brand of humour, but it was worth a few laughs) and Dude Wheres My Car (heard nothing but bad things about it so I never saw it until it was on Fox a while back, but I thought it was alright considering it was probably the stupidest plot imaginable)

* Jeeper Creepers (I could have vomited a better ending than that!)
* Jason X (should have been called Jason $, thats all it was, just a money making exercise)
* All the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, bar 1 and 3 (so very, very pointless).
* Haloween: Ressurection (Jamie Lee died, and so did this turkey! At least Jamie put up a fight!)
* Draculas Daughter (part of the 50's monster movie hey-day. Utterly pointless)
* Ghost Ship (Why?)
* Has anyone mentioned Plan 9 From Outer Space? Easily the worst movie of all.
* Any movie with Hulk Hogan in it (couldn't act properly in a wrestling ring, why difd he try the mainstream stuff?) Santa With Muscles is especially barf-worthy
There are probably more, but I can't remember then just now.

Yep thats it. It was some state of the art prison that hadn't been opened yet. Some rich bloke invited the worlds feared criminals and the last one standing got the dosh. Talk about shyte plots...the only things worse than the storyline was the acting and the fact that the video store charged you to watch it.

You've heard about the legend of people trading their soul to the devil for success? In the 1920s there was a guy called Robert Johnson who was an ordinary blues guitarist. He went away for six months and came back an electrifying guitarist way ahead of his time. Artists such as the Stones, Clapton, and The White Stripes are a few to cover his work. Legend has it during his six month hiatus he went to the cross roads and made a deal with the devil.

By the time I was old enough to watch the Godfather trilogy, they were hyped up to such a mythical level, that when I saw them I was very very very disappointed. I thought it was a second-rate story, with B-grade acting and C-grade directing. I put the acting and the melodrama on par with the Days of our Lives. I have never been so dissappointed in a film (or trilogy) in my life. Not even the new Star Wars Films come close to being this bad.

As for Citizen Kane, I thought it was very unoriginal. I read all these reviews before I saw the film on how ground-breaking it was, but there was nothing ground-breaking about it. I had seen it all the German Silent films of the twenties, Pandora's Box, Metropolis, Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Faust, Vampyr etc etc.

My 10 Favouritre Films are:

1. Three Colours Red (France/Poland - 1994)
2. Amelie (France - 2001)
3. Pandora's Box (Germany - 1929-Silent)
4. The Double Life of Veronique (France/Poland - 1991)
5. Diary of a Lost Girl (Germany - 1929 - Silent)
6. Once Upon a Time in the West (Italy - 1969)
7. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Italy - 1966)
8. Kill Bill Volume 1 (USA - 2003)
9. Exotica (Canada - 1996)
10. Sweetheart (France - 1992)

For me, European Cinema has always been more interesting and enjoyable. I think European Directors make films to Entertain, Educate and Stimulate, while American Directors make film for the Studio's and the money. It's not always the case, but that's how it appears to me more often than not.
