well it was not good last night what eva way you look at it. we ended up with 6 injured players, and we didnt even bother trying to play the football that i know we can. however here's a quick run down of the injuries from last night.

BRAD GREEN broke his arm in the 2nd quarter (i think) and went to hospital to have it x rayed etc dont know how long he will be out for tho.

DANIEL WARD & MATTY COLLINS both injured their knees, and test will be done early in the week to see the extent of the injury.

PETER WALSH did a hammy, probably 3 to 4 weeks

AND

the one that i am fuming about is the injury to DAVID NEITZ a cut eye. why are you angry about that i hear you ask. it was done in the first quarter by teammate RUSSELL ROBERTSON when they went to high five each other after a goal. he took a clean swipe and jabbed him in the eye*clap clap* robbo, how does it feel you injured the captain. tsk tsk, guess who wont be getting a christmas card this year? :p

and also JEFF WHITE should not have been out there last night, he was not fit. as for the medical staff who obviously left it up to whitey to decide if he is fit, they should have known better. if you ask a player who has been battling an injury for most of the season if he wants to play this weekend, or if he is fit enough. what do hell do you think his response will be? "Yeah im ok"

Well done melbourne medicos you deserve a standing ovation

hopefully we can replace some of these players this week otherwise we r screwed

nicki you seriously scared the living crap out of me with that MSN.... there i was all depressed coz i have just witnessed melbourne's worse game since round 13 last year (the match we lost by 98 points to Carlton) when somebody tells me Greeny broke his arm! i was thinking 4-6 weeks for sure and than i get home and find out he only bruised it... man i was glad! :)
To think how many injuries we have sustained and the fact that we only had a short break and a flight in the middle... its no wonder we played like *beeeeeeppppp* but still no excuses, they simply ate us alive!
its very sad to think that Walshy might miss his 50th next week coz of a hammy (i thought it was a knee... well thats what they said in the news!) :(
i couldn't believe it when i heard how Neita got injured... its redicilous, i think the guys should work on hi-fives at training! ;)
anyways i've noticed that everytime we play doggies we get injured and lose (well for a while now anyway) so i guess it was enevidable!
oh yeah and one more thing.... Whitey is seriously not fit, Nicho did a better job than him!

GO DEES! :)

You hit the nail on the head Dees Rule that was Melbourne's worst game since Round 13 2000. They even played better in the Grand Final taking into account who we were playing against. The injuries are still a disaster.

ok well Walshy will not play his 50th this week due to a hammy which will keep him out for 1-2 weeks and even worse is Wardy with a knee, he's out for 2-3 weeks so basically we are stuffed going into the next two games without our 2 best defenders.... bye bye season 2001! :(

GO DEES! :)

Going by what Danny Corcoran said on Demon Radio tonight, the injuries are not as bad as first thought. What a relief. We need everyone firing if we are to be with in 50 points next week.

Danny Corcoran always hedges about injuries and as for the Melb. medicos...not more said.

I think we can have a holiday for the next 2 games, field some other young guys, rest the injured (we will probably lose anyway) then we may be fresh in 3 weeks time, and come out blazing (for a change!!!)

Iwish all the guys carrying injuries a quick speedy recovery.
