Hey, did any of you guys go to Country Week last year, or look like going this year? If yes, which association, and which division and which hotel do you stay at?

I went with Sale Maffra last year, we won provincial division, stayed at the Victoria Hotel, pretty central spot, good fun.

Yeah, that is a bit of a problem we have around here as well. People getting time off work. We had 3 blokes in the Vic Country side who couldn't get more time off work so they couldn't go. Then, 2 former state squad members who couldn't go cos of work commitments, then 2 or 3 other automatic selections unavailable due to work/family. Our Country Week works as a promotion/relegation system and we were told our job was to make sure that we didn't get relegated. We took a young side down with 6 or 7 first timers and 4 guys whose 2nd trip it was. We had an easy win against the newly promoted side on the first day and thumped the defending champs on the second, we lost to the eventual runners up on the 3rd. On the 4th day, we beat the side that got relegated, then fronted up to the final and after being 0 - 110 off 15 over, never looked back and won the game by a fairly small margin, but we always had the game in our control.
