Going on form, Port should win fairly easily. But it is out West, so this games up in the open. We really need to win to cement ourselves near the top of the ladder for the double chance. We have two home games coming up and if we can win this and end up 7 or 8 wins and 1 loss, then we are in a fantastic position for an assualt on the finals in the last half of the season.
The key to this game is Gardiner. If he plays, then West Coast have a big chance of winning. He is in top form and can neutralise Primus's effect on the game. If he doesnt come up then they may be in trouble.
Ports forward line really needs to fire this week. Tredrea and Cornes really need to stand tall, take some big grabs and kick some goals. We cant really on our small forward forever to kick big scores. Dewy had a quite one last week so im looking forward to seeing him kick a c ouple of goals this week. Wanganeen was also quiet last week. Port have the better side on paper, and better form, and are favourites to win, but i just dont know over there.
It will be close. West Coast need to win to stay in touch with the group...meanwhile Port can almost afford to lose one if there is such a thing.
Port win there last year was fantastic, and hopefully we can pull off the same sort of thing this year as well. We dont play too badly out West...we've beaten Freo there twice and West Coast once.
my tip tho is West Coast by 17 points in a high scoring close game...based solely on home ground advantage
