Tuesday, I attended the training session where the guys were practicing their skills and they looked in great form after their break. Even though all the players attended the training session, a few of the guys were bludging where they were just sitting on the bench and watching the other players doing all the hard work.
I'll give you all the info on the players.
Matty Primus - he came late. He belted Broges, Ladey and Cain Ackland in the rucking contests and it looks like that he will be making a come back in round one and he will become our number 1 ruckman in the AFL and get another nomination for the All-Australian team for 2004.
Schoey and Dimma (Damien Hardwick)were kept inside to do some laps of swimming.
Josh Francou - kept to a limit of work, still recovering from the knee surgery and in exact words he told me that he is surely will come back in round 1 but he is unsure who will take Nick Stevens place
Wilbur (Michael Wilson) - during the rucking, tagging and ruck rover exercises with the other players. He was running like a headless chook. But his form is absolutely fabulous after taking a break and it looks like that he is over his knee injury.
Tredders - in the middle of the marking practice, he dropped several marks which isnt like him at all.
Stuey Dewy - Doing handballing drills with Roger, Sal and Brett Ebert, but he went home early straight after the completion of the handballing drills.
Cain Ackland - he was kept on restricted training program where his shoulder was heavily strapped and all he did was some handball drills with Thurstans.
C. Cornesy - left the track early, but he stood and lazing around with Monty against the wall of the headquarters and watching over the other players doing all the hardwork. He was showing off his massive scar or a cut down his left leg but the good thing is that as bad as Sal's.
Sal - didnt get involved in the training because of a knee injury apparently, he stacked his knee while he was doing some bike riding and he wont come back and resume training until a couple of weeks. Apparently, he stacked it so bad that it has swollen and he is being prescribed antibiotics to decrease the swelling.
Gilly - Has put on eight kils of muscle and far during the break and apparently, he is almost on the way to playing a senior game for the Power.
Brett Ebert - ran a couple of laps then he stood by Roger James and Sal who were sitting on the bench and had a bit of a chat.
Roger James also didnt get involved in the training but he did a couple of handballing drills with dewy, sal and brett ebert. While they were doing their handballing drills, Roger was ****ing himself laughing, he couldnt stop, I didnt catch what he was laughing about. The others just gave him strange looks and smiled at him.
On a completely irrelated subject, it looks like that some of the players have not had their haircut from the break.
Burger has grown his hair longer where he thought he might add more controversary by putting dying the top of his hair blonde.
Youngster Wade Champion's hair is the same as Burger, as if he's growing like an afro like our Australian Idol Guy Sebastian. Its outrageous when I saw it.
It looks like that Stuey Cochrane will be starting the trend again where he will not cut it until the end of the season because he has a slight tail growing at the back.
Dom came out as if he just got out of bed where his hair was in a state of a mess and he has not shaved for a month or a year.
It looks like the guys have put on a lot of weight during the break and they still have their fabulous form which they will use next year and with that form will give us the opportunity to get our hands on the premiership in 2004.
Keep up the great work guys!!!!
P.S if you're wondering about the controversary about Damon White's future of playing footy because of a couple screws in his ankle, there is nothing wrong with him. When I saw him train and taking marks and running, there is nothing wrong with him, I think this has to be the best form I have seen him in ages and in the SANFL.
F***k the media for making up stuff to make us worried and thinking that he is not going to last very long. This guy will be a huge star in the future and he will be a key in our line ups.
