View Full Version : Courtney Johns
How's his hip and what's his PS training like? Be good to see him crack a few seniors games next year.
He survived a 70km bike ride through a forest track last week so i'd say his hip is pretty good. I feel sorry for the kid as his hype has everybody waiting to see what he can do.
His hip is fine & I have to agree with your concerns about all the hype about him. Unfortunately his is the ideal story journos are after. The old "... told he'd never play again", ".... overcame insurmountable odds" etc. Makes good copy & is great fro Bomber fans to read but give the lad a break! Yes he can play footy & yes, all things being equal, he has the ability to play at the top level for a long time but footy careers can last all of a second. You can rest assured that he has a bloody good head on him & takes little notice of anything other than his training etc. Give him time & let him get going. Go Fish, show 'em what you got.

fish? is that his nickname
I'd love to know how many threads we have had about Courtney Johns on here over the past 6 months. Can't wait too see him play. I haven't had a chance too see him playing in the VFL
I could talk about Courtney ad infinitum as he has impressed me a lot.
All this hype though.
I think he will be fantastic, but let's not forget that we are still to see the kid at senior level.
.....sometimes too much build up is not a good thing... lets just wait it out and wish him luck.

Fish is his nickname. His first coach (U10s) laid it on him & it's stuck ever since. Comes from "courtney fish?" as in "caught any fish"
