Graham will be used up forward next year, but only in experimental times, probably on the same strength as this year.
Haynes will be prominent up forward, and you will find that Kingsley, S. Johnson and McCarthy will be playing major roles in attack too.
I think you'll find with Graham, that he will switch between the forward line and the back line. Sort of like a loose man if you like. Kingsley, Haynes, S.Johnson are expected to fight out for the mid-sized forward spots on the team. One will miss out, I'm expecting Kingsley to be that one. Loats will alternate with King between Rucking and resting in the forward line. If Loats is able to handle the ruckwork, then King will stretch the oppositions defence by moving up to the forward line. If Loats doesn't perform in the ruck, then expect King to take the mantle and Loats to only occassionally play in the forward line. McCarthy will be given more opputunities, after an impressive season 2003. But where he will play is anybodys guess. His main weapon would have to be his pack-splitting ability and ability to take big grabs. This would suit him on a half forward flank, or maybe CHF. Only problem is that his questionable kicking may present a problem, as his kicking accuracy is lower as he drifts further away from the goals. The solution to this would be to play him directly out of the goalsquare. However, I believe this would waste his marking ability. Playfair will also be given somemore chances in 2004, but I think we may begin to mould him as a KPP in the backhalf. Much like he played in the VFL. Mackie won't play KPP in 2004, maybe not even 2005. When he debuts, I'm probably expecting him to play off a wing perhaps, or maybe on a half forward flank. Spencer, and Blake are still very raw. Don't expect to see them regularly for another 2 years at least. Mooney's chances really depend on a) How fit he his b) Performence of himself and ultimately c) The performence of blokes like McCarthy. if McCarthy is holding down CHF, or FF, along with the likes of Graham, Kingsley, King/Loats, then Mooney will simply not get his opputunities. It really depends on the other forwards, as I believe Mooney has slipped down the waiting list.

You can only really judge it at the start of the season. What happens from there is up to the individuals
Mooney will start off at CHF and Kingsley will start as full Forward. Haynes will play as a permenant HFF while Chapman, Kelly & Ablett will be rotate between the FP and rover. Riccardi will also start in the Forward Pocket. I suspect that Stevie Johnson will get the last spot
Loats will start on the bench as Thompson has said they want two ruckman and maybe McCarthy as well
As I said these guys will be given first crack and its up to them. Guys like Loner, Gardiner, Mackie, Thurley, Playfair, and Blake plus maybe Shane Harvey will all have to wait for poor form or injury
HF Haynes Mooney Johnson
F Riccardi Kingsley Chapman/Ablett
Bench Loats McCarty Kelly
