From new coach Matthew Nights
Training has been going for over a month now and the boys are working pretty hard in the lead up to a break over Xmas. The pre-Xmas schedule is such that we train on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday nights at Ethelton with running, weight training and ball work all part of the program.
On a recruiting front we have secured a number of players for next season, with the following players confirmed;
Nick Raines - 20 year old from Brisbane rookie list, right footer 178cm plays midfield and fwd.
Anthony Matthews - 18 year old from Mildura, 191cm, 88kg, right footer who plays fwd half.
Nick Madden - 17 year old from Mildura, 190cm, 77kg, right footer who plays on wing.
Mark Habner - 23 year old from West coast Hawks, 190cm, 84kg, right footer who plays in midfield.
There are a number of other recruits who have committed to the club pending the result at the AFL Pre-season draft in a week. Once this group is confirmed we'll make some announcements but at this stage we are extremely please with how our recruiting has gone for 2004 and most of the lads are here and training already.
