Picked up this movie on DVD a few weeks back, and gee what a really great little movie.
It's a make of an Agatha Christie story, (from 1945) full of twists and turns, and complimented by a fine cast of actors who assist the story, rather than try to dominate it.

Yes, pretty neat bit of work, isn't it?
If I recall the actual novel was released in the UK as "Ten Little *******", which naturally caused a bit of trouble in the US, so the change was made to "Indians" in the title instead.
Actually, the film rights to the novel were purchased by by one of the great shysters of the film world, a very shady character named Harry Allan Towers and he has made a couple more versions of the story, one in 1974 and the other around 1989, I think and although neither is up to the standard of the original, both are worth a look.
I read the book about a year ago, thoroughly enjoyed it.... good to see the movie has turned out well

I enjoyed this book when we read it at school and it was still called "Ten Little *******" IIRC.
There was a remake in the 70s that was bloody awful and it changed the location to some desert mansion. Go figure.
Which version did you see Asgardian? I beleive there's been 3 or 4 versions of the original story.

Yep, there are several movies all made from the original Agatha Christie novel, "Ten Little Indians" written and published in 1939.
1945 - "And Then There Were None" which was the USA title, released in UK as "Ten Little *******"
1965 - "Ten Little Indians" was made, and released in USA under that title, strangely the UK release title was "And Then There Were None"
1974 - "And Then There Were None" was made, with the players isolated in an Iranian Hotel stuck in the middle of a desert
1996 - "Then There Were None" was a made for TV/Video movie
I have the 1945 original on DVD, and it is excellent viewing.
I've seen the 1965 version, it's okay to watch, but it has none of the quirkey charm nor sly humour of the original.

Ah, I've read that book. Mum had heaps of old Agatha Christie novels lying around so I used to pick them up now and then.
Might have to look out for the movie As, been a while since I've seen anything good. And especially if you recommend it......... ;)

Ahhhhhhh, you are too kind my dear Jacs.
However it's not just me, the true movie buff & scholar here, Sandeano, also sounds like he is recommending this film.
