Might be a slightly premature statement, but looking at our objectives/goals for this year and how we have gone about achieving them, i think we are in crisis. We have gone backwards this year.

Goals:
#1, blood key position players to take the reigns from our older brigade
#2, improve on last years performances
#3, play consistently
#4, don't have 4th quarter fadeouts
#5, avoid bottom 4 finish

Progress:
#1, Only Cox is a key position player, and the only other player to make his debut is Kerr, who is not a key position player- rating 2/10
#2, Same time last year we had 4 wins-rating 2/10
#3, Don't think we stringed together 4qtrs this year-rating 4/10
#4, Only 2 4th qtr fadeout this year(richmond, essendon) 7/10
#5, Can we avoid bottom two finish? 0/10

total: 15/50

I think we are in crisis. Anyone disagree? Please prove me wrong.

DON'T PANIC YET.

Every club goes through a rough period. And every club goes through a good period.

Which just went through a very succefsul period, so it was only a matter of time before we went through a poor period.

And it will only be a matter of time before we get into another succesful era.

or we could end up like the saints, winning 1 premiership in 100 years, oh to be a saints supporter

i think we just need to delist/trade 95% of the guys over the age of 25, and get some youngsters, and have 2 bad years, and re emmerge as the hawks have lately

and what, leave only 5% of experienced players to teach the youngsters. It isn't the coach who teaches them how to ply once they're on the field, its the experienced campaigners. Sure for this year we are going badly, but not quite yet in crisis. I think Kempy, McIntosh and maybe Jako will retire at years end. And we may trade a couple of the older stars, but not too many, then we will bring in the young players on our list to see what we have, and see what we have to get. Yes the next couple of years will be tough for us supporters, but we road easy street in the 90's with our club, now to pay them back and stick with them through hard street, and emerge victorious with a new, young, talented and enthusiastic squad to take us into the next era of the EAGLES!!!!!

What i was saying is that we have wasted a year we could of used for development.

What steps forward has the club taken this year? At best, we have gone backwards.
