View Full Version : Miller or Sheedy?
This thread is not a troll.
As someone stated in another thread, should Frawley get marching orders at the end of the season (or worse, during) and should Sheedy become available.....
would you drop Miller to take on Sheedy as the coach? Or would you prefer to keep Greg Miller where he is and tell Sheedy to come back in a few years.
Sheedy will not come back .
He will bait us poor Tiger fans and then Essendon will give him more money.
Bloody sick to death of this issue to be truthful.
Miller is doing well since he has been at the club-we've picked up a ton of players for next year and beyond so good luck to him and hopefully the Tigers can be a force like in the mighty 60's and 70's .:D

You are spot on, smasha.
Give Miller more time.
One point in this Sheeds back to Richmond issue - when has he ever WANTED to.
Nah, he's a Bombers man forever and just uses us to keep his bank manager happy :(
All Sheedy has been over the past years is a tease for Richmond supporters. At this stage, with over 12 months to judge him on, I am backing Miller in to help turn this club around. It won't heppen over night but it will heppen!

I suppose it's sheeds serving his own interests, and thats to continue coaching essendon. So anyhting to strengthin his own tenure is not necessarly all that bad,not for kevin anyway.

I think this is a poor reflection on sheedy.
Surely his more thick skinned then that?
If the few personal barbes the 2 have encounted over the years could not be put aside, then that tells me that his professional approach to people management is weak.
Maybe he is a mashmallow.
Possibly the thing that may be off putting to prospective coaches is the amount of influence Miller does wield. Any coach will have to be subservient to him. Which is possibly not a bad thing.

IMHO if Sheedy ever came back to Tigerland it wouldn't be as coach. More likely he would get involved in some way to help promote the Club or be around occasionally to pass on a wise word to the young players.
There's nothing wrong with the coach being subservient to the administrator. The best years we've had at Tigerland, were when Graeme Richmond was pulling the strings.
Miller is no Graeme Richmond, but he's probably the savviest administrator running around these days.

my view is simple!when has sheedy shirked an issue?i doubt very much any personal issue,s he has with GM would deter him from coming back.in fact i would expect it as a challenge for sheedy which he thrives on.
cheers!

Ok it looks like this is actually has a following
My view is Logically; Why would he
I mean The Tin birds have been very good to him
Why would he leave? good luck to him
happiness is a virtue that is often missed
And it doesn't matter who it is ......Team building takes time
it won't happen overnight but it will happen!!!

We'd have to include a pretty decent bar rider for Sheeds nowadays ... hates a drink does old Kev.
If Sheedy really is the sort of person that would let a personal gripe with ONE individual at the club intrude on his decision-making process, then I don't think he's the sort of person we need.
Hopefully the Tigers extend Frawley's contract early just to stave off all of that rubbish.

If Sheeds does come back to Tigerland, I wonder whether he would bring Soloman with him.:D
