Want a new jumper sponsor for Geelong, Slazenger pfft, we need a big name so our players can wear the same boots have a reliable backing and most of all it will be available at more shops for our interstate Cats supporters for example: me!!, in WA they only stock the Fila cats jumpers. Come on Nike Puma even maybe Adidas maybe you could be our marvellous Jumper sponsor. Also I want to be wearing the same boots as Ablett Ling King Scarlett.
Just a stupid off season thought.

Or you can use the 2004 catalogue that all members received in the mail to purchase the Slazenger apparel.

I'm sure Geelong would have some kind of membership for interstate supporters. The Roos have a membership whereby you pay a smallish fee and get all the mailouts without the game day priveliges.

Obviously you get no direct benefits, however it would give you the warm, fuzzy feeling of helping your club.

*PLEASE* don't spark up the great debate about interstate membership. It burns my ears - or eyes (whichever way you want to look at it) - nowadays.

I had an interstate membership last year and didn't use it. It sucks the 4 or 5 games are for Skilled Stadium and not Melbourne games. This year I'm going with the concession 11, I think they are the same price anyway. Reckon a photo copy of my student card is enough to prove concession?

As long as there's a good enough photo proof, and that it shows your DOB. That's all you would need to use a concession I would think. Check it up though.

I've had enough of the crapola that the club reckons constitutes a good deal on memberships for those who can't attend matches. If the club wants my money, they are going to have to do better than doling out the stuff which even the reject shop wouldn't touch and relying upon the 'warm fuzzy feeling' of knowing you are supporting the Cats.

Geelong membership department = Bunch of freaks!

Maybe include Interstaters in offical membership numbers. Whilst I can never get to Hawks games, I receive 5 Home Games free - including free entry to Power and Crows matches at AAMI stadium when Hawthorn plays. The membership packs for Interstaters at Hawthorn are not bad and next year we get a loyalty scarf, so that is good as well. I never get to games in Melbourne, but love helping the Hawks out financially.

I use my Deakin Uni student card and have had no problems with that.

Sweet. Must remember to do it before my student card runs out in February.

Yep, same.

It proves you're a full time student.

Although on the rare occasion they ask for ID, they don't actually check the card, you just flip it out, they say thank you and in you go. I could be carrying a card that hasn't been valid for 3 years and they wouldn't know. The MCG on the other hand...

Interesting....

When i travel down the highway to Skilled, i always get asked for my concession card. Other grounds however, such as, Telstra and the MCG...a concession card seems to be unheard of.

It does seem strange. I occasionally get asked at SS, but always at the G. Never at TD. You swipe your card and in you go, and I always manage to evade those bag checkers too, except at the G.

You hardly have to try to avoid the back checkers at the Telstra Dome, for some reason they only seem to care about your bag if you place it on the table for them... they won't chase you for it.
