View Full Version : the diggler rap
Who is this guy called diggler?
With hand placed firmly on his wiggler
I'm picturing someone just like smeagol *
His nose to the ground, like a hound or a beagle
His words are said with a whinge and a splutter
Perhaps this guy is a bit of a nutter
* aka gollum from Lord Of The Rings

If an opposition supporter criticises and ridicules our club (on this site,or at a game), then everyone turns on him/her (eg Burke in "Frawley's master plan)".However, that doesn't bother me that much because he is only doing what many supporters do, namely supporting his/her team and rubbishing the rest. What really irks me is that richmond supporters like diggler constantly do the same thing to their OWN team, which is then considered okay by many because it's the "right to free speech". I respect people like Burke (supporting his own team) more than people like diggler and cairo. Therefore the point I suppose I'm making, seeing you asked, is that if you are going to ridicule the team and players that I am loyal to, then expect to be ridiculed in return. I have no respect for them at all, with their constant negative remarks and total lack of balance. I want them to feel certain that their comments are not appreciated, and that there is a price to pay for such disloyalty.I want the club and the players to feel that "we" are right behind them, united in a common purpose. Ofcourse, diggler and cairo etc are probably unaffected by my comments anyway. As for opposition supporters who get on to this site and rubbish the club, they don't concern me in the slightest, and I wouldn't bother responding to their taunts. If other people wish to respond then that's fine with me; they are showing loyalty in their own way.

yes.............(about the rap)
What a load of garbage Pirate.
The club is in serious trouble onfield and now off. I call it as I see it. If you can go back to the archives 12 months ago, you will see I was genuinely optimistic about the clubs chances in 2003. I said its now or never. I have no such optimism now. They have a terrible list and have failed again to make tough decisions. Band aid recruiting and the ability to hand over top ten picks defies belief.
They got Brown:- big deal!
He might give us two or three good years, but Id rather have what the Bulldogs have got.
Whats the point of me giving praise and talking finals, when all I see is an ageing list, full of losers, non-achevers and rejects/duds from other clubs. If they finish above bottom four I will be shocked!!!
The descision making at that club defies belief.

Come on guys, settle down. Let's not forget there are 15 other teams in the competition all vying for the same thing. I hardly call our draft picks this year earth shattering in terms of selection order so to have picked up Nathan Brown, IMO, was the deal of the decade so far!!!! 14 other clubs would have fallen over backwards to recruit a midfielder who can kick goals. Some of our ferals love to bag Richo when he misses an easy shot and yet when the club recruits someone who is capable of kicking a bag and help out richo, they're still not happy. We can see the outcome of some our draft picks in the past, alla Anthony Banik, Richard Lounder, Kayne Pettifer, and to a lesser extent, Aron fiora so there is no guarantee we would have had a win this year either with the selections we had. Even Brad Ottens has so far failed to live up to his game shattering potential and he was pick 2!!!!
The future is not as bleak as it seems but what we do need is those bandwagon supporters who didnt renew their memberships this year to get back on board and stick with the club. It's all about membership revenue and to lose 5,000 members at $120 a pop, well simple math says $600,000 gone!!!
Pokie revenue is not the answer either because this is such an unpredictable revenue stream with all sorts of restrictions being imposed on this type of business. It really p isses me off to know that we can easily get 60 to 70,000 to a game and yet our paltry membership this year was bettered by clubs like Hawthorn and Carlton for f&^K's sake!!! Talk is cheap Tiger fans so dig into your pockets and buy a membership and shut those critics up for good!!

serious trouble off the feild? good lord we make a loss and all of a sudden in your eyes we are in serious trouble.huge difference between a club who makes a loss and a club who makes a loss and is in debt up to its eyeballs[now thats serious trouble].
and what tough decisions didnt we make?we got rid of the players who we could[uncontracted].

Your right itsintheblood. We have used poor draft picks in the past but i suppose that was without greg miller hmmm i dunno. Ottens is gonna be a gun i can tell. Waiting for fiora to break the shackles. Anyway your right i mean what if we didnt choose brown and we chose sumone with pick 6 they still might not have been up to AFL standard and just been an excellent VFL player and choking at AFL level. Im happy with brown at least we are guaranteed 5 years at the least from him. This year will be his best cause along with stevens, rawlings and brown they all have sumthing to prove as they left to go to other clubs.
Not sure if you are looking for independent commentary (probably not but who cares its summer) ...
On the Richmond list ....it is not overly special (ie not top 4 and therefore not a premiership list at the moment), however it is not a disaster (ie shouldnbt be bottom 4).
This puts you in a pack of 8 teams chasing 4 positions ....your list is probably middle of this range.
Now onto Brown - I wouldnt rate him trade of the century however he was more of a catch than Rawlings and IMO Stevens ....he certainly wont make you any worse!
I'd be optimisitic if I was a Tiges fan, however like most clubs it is getting the best out of that list.
Ottens needs to be injury free and back into AA form. Richo - enough has been debated, however if you can get the team rolling - Richo tends to get less frustrated - Richo then plays better (self fulfilling prophecy really). Cogs is good and if Gaspar plays you have a reasonble spread of talent.
Can Frawley coach - yes, however patience is a virtue that does run out eventually.
Off the field - sleeping giant baby, just concentrate on winning footy and the members/sponsors will come.
It will be an interesting season....Diggs I can see your points however part of being a supporter is bouncing back full of faith (even if it has to be blind sometimes)!
