View Full Version : Bloody Romero
It had to take an injury to get Romero out of the side. Has Wallace ever wondered why he never gets tagged? He will never hurt the opposition with his pox disposal.
Robbins would buy and sell him as an option, he is quick and has penetration with his kicking.

Romero's disposal is OK at times, but erratic. It has let him down at crucial moments, and I think this sticks in the mind of most Bulldogs supporters.

I agree to an extent about Jose's skills-three times this season he hasn't made the distance from thirty metres out-twice on the run. But theres not many like him for getting 'in and under' The big problem is that the best player for getting 'in and under' is Libba. My view is that while Libba plays there is no place for Romero. In other words we can't afford to have both of them in the side at the same time.

Jose Romero is a very experianced player, who has played over 250 games, but I think its time he has a good look at himself.
At times he just wastes the ball, but other times he is a brilliant rover and deserves to be in our top 10 players list.
Best of luck to the Bulldogs this week at the SCG, out home game against the swans. hopefully we can keep our winnign record over the swans, we have had the wood over them in recent years.

Jose has been good in the past but when he was injured I wasn't overly concerned. There other players who bring more value to the team.

I have to admit i wasn't too concerned either because his disposal has been shocking this year. It was late last year too. He is one of the best in the packs though and did get the most consistent player award last year.
