Who has been India's best player in this test series ?
I flipped a coin and asked the question... But the coin rolled away, and then I tried again and it glared at me, told me not to make it choose and disappeared
I think Brett Lee mach 3 was my choice.

I know this is meant as a joke kind of thread, and yes I do have a sense of humour, but I'll raise an issue here.
At the moment, India have won this series more than Australia have lost it. All of India's batsman have done their job on this tour, making scores when needed and lifting their side into a superior spot over Australia. Their bowlers have been under pressure, but they've also done a servicable job (especially in Adelaide when the pressure was on). The way some Australian supporters are talking, you'd think India have been making runs solely on the crap bowling of the Australian attack. I'd like to see any bowling attack get on top of Dravid, Laxman and co in the form they are in at the moment.
There's no doubt Brett Lee, along with Australia's below-average fielding, have given Indian more chances than they would've usually had, but they have taken those chances and turned them into successes. Sure, the Australian bowling line-up hasn't been the same without McGrath and Warne, but players of Gillespie's callibre are still world class bowlers, and the Indian batsman have still had the better of Dizzy.
It looks like India will certainly retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy. If this is the case, I hope this series is remembered for the way India came across to Australia as rank underdogs, played fantastic cricket, put Australia under unfamiliar pressure, and won a series against the odds. It would be a shame if it's remembered as the series that Australia lacked bowling depth, and fielded badly.
