First up, let me state that I've backed India @ $4.50 on the second morning.

Given that draws are a pretty rare occourence in these times (stats please anyone ) the $1.67 on offer imo is a bit of a ''lay''
It's been done before, & given S. Waughs record for excelling in this type of challenge I would'nt be suprised to see him declare a couple of hundred short & make Ganguly set a target.
Would Ganguly take the bait & be a chance to become the first Indian cricketer to take a series win in Australia. Pretty tempting I would think.
The current odds on an Australian win are $51 on IAS, better could be found with a bit of shopping. Indias price is into $2.15 (still good odds to me ).
Is anybody brave enough to have a punt on the Aussies given the lucridive price ? Had a saver at 70's with betfair yesterday myself.

thats what i was thinkin was gonna happen steve waugh declare at 550-600 about half way thru 2nd session and ganguly turn it into a one day game (350 off 70-80 overs) but when steve waugh and gilchrist went out in the last 15 overs that went down the drain unless katich can make a name for himself

tell him he's dreaming.

two outcomes:
- we make 506+ : result - draw
- we don't make 506+ : result - India win

there are no other possibilities, but i admire your supreme yet misguided optimism

No chance of Ganguly setting us a target. He would rather a draw than risk even the slimest chance of losing the series. If we avoid the follow on, India will bat until half way through tomorrow and set a massive target. Remember, yesterday with Australia 3 wickets down, he had only two slips and a third man, despite being 500 runs ahead. Hows that for a defensive mindset.

Thanks for the replys.

The draws now $1.35. Just can't see it myself, the Aussies are going to go for it or die trying. Tonight will be an important little session for them.

The Aussies are now into $12, a fair shortener from this morning.
Indians still well over the odds at $3.70. All in my humble opinion of course.

My tip would be to lay the draw (betfair) or get on the Indians, Kumble should run amok on the last day.
As much as I'd love to see Australia go for the runs & get them, the Indians seem to hold all the aces.

Should make for a great day tomorrow.

& shame on you ZimZum disagreeing with a fellow Rooster. ;)
