Anyone know what actually happened to him , why he left geelong where he ended up playing etc.

35 goals in his one season aint that bad, could do with a few of them this year. I heard he hang around and became a farmer, but i could be totally wrong...

How about starting one on Essendon's board about the Bombers greatest ever full forward - Darren "Watch out for the cab" Whieldon ? :D

Now remind me how many games he played for you.

He wasn't a bad pickup. But it is typical of Geelong fans that they turn on any forward recruit who isn't the next Gary Ablett. Spinks, J.Mooney, Kingsley, C.Mooney, White etc.

David Haynes is on a hiding to nothing.

But David Haynes wasn't originally from WA, he is a local boy returning back home to Geelong after filling in time with the Eagles.

Haynes really is a different player to all these mentioned, and by that i dont mean good, although he could well be i mean a half forward flanker

You'd think by now that the GFC website could've done a proper photo of Haynes [and probably Loats].

That photo has to be one of the worst Photoshop/Paintshop Pro jobs you can do. Not like you can’t miss that distinct colour and build change or anything.

Hurry up and get the team photos done so we can get some credibility with our player pictures.

We could always discuss who is the best, (and worst) West Coast recruit to ever come to Geelong.... Brian Cook, Mitchell White, Brett Spinks, Geoff Miles, David Haynes or everyone's favourite, Andrew MacNish. :D

I remember going to the first preseason game that Brett Spinks played in. After buying the record i felt an imediate sense of dread when i turned to the middle and found that our "gun " recruit had inherited the number 14 from Steven "chopper " Handley. It slowly got worse from there.

Brian Cook has done alright - done more on and off the field than Spinks.

Andrew Macnish - man, did that guy do anything for Geelong but keep the washing machine turning for his guernsey when he turned up to training? Was the recruiting guys back then the same as now?????

As a forward, he achieved something that only Ronnie Burns has been able to match, in recent times.

What was that phat, averaging more then 2 goals per game??

Andrew MacNish played 3 games for Geelong in 1992 and kicked 7 goals.
