I'm a decendant of Patrick Smith (not the moron from the sports pages of the Australian)...but emancipated convict from Moreton Bay comissioned (1832?) to search out suitable cedar forests for fledgling penal colony. Established first European settlement on the Tweed River (1834 ish) at what now is the town of Murwillumbah... he was seriously involved in removing the Bundjalong people from their homelands using the most extreme predjudice.
Pat was killed by the very thing that got him into N'NSW to begin with... a tree.
Remaining side of my family round there now resides in Bilambil, Kingscliffe and Southport. Seen the place change beyond recognition over the last three and half decades on bi-annual visits to my Australian homeland. Spent a good part of 1996/97 between Bilambil and Byron before Johnny bought out the dole diary.
Nanna cheers on the Dockers... the blue rinse and climatic conditions negate the need for a purple beanie on top.

"fitzmantle", why'd you leave? Have a colleague who lives in Ballina (I live 29kms away! - He's actually a league man - St George - but I think I've convinced him to like the Dockers).
Any other Freo supporters live near 'Lizard'?
