No he probably wouldn't make it. But i will say this.

Is there a player with a bigger heart in world cricket?

Hogg or Harvey

He'd fill the all-rounder spot quite nicely.

Better batsman and bowler than Bichel and Harvey IMO. So is Ervine.

Yep I would take definitely take him as the 3rd bowler/allrounder.

Replace Bicheal, Harvey, Williams, Bracken and possibably Lee.

about 6 years ago he would've walked into any side in World Cricket, including Australia - probalby at the expense of either a young Jason Gillespie or Damiein Fleming. But he was in the best five or so bowlers in the world at the peak of his powers IMO (Don't know and not really interested where PWC had him).....

Now, he would with all our injuries. But going on the peak side when in form, he's not quite good enough any more. But would get a gig in any other team in the world, including South Africa.

At only 21 Ervine is a real talent. We could use him in the aussie one day side.

He is a fine competitor and shoulders a huge responsibility for his country. There are plenty who have the same amount of heart but this guy stands out due to necessity. He will never take a backward step !!

Great competitor, and leads by example, but I'm not sure he'd get a gig in a full-strength Aussie side.

Goes OK with the bat, equally adept at attack and defence, but never rated him elite (say, top 10-15 in the world) as a bowler, even though he's by no means a hack. A bit of Paul Reiffel about him in that sense, I guess - good solid performer.
