If you are going by the people on the screen when he says it I'd say Bichel!

Surely it would have to have been a Victorian to get Bill excited... must have used some old footage!
It's the same commentary from a decade back, so I say Merv Hughes

At a guess, Id say it was Merv bowling Gatting on the last ball of the day in a test in England (1993 Id say) I have Mervs video and it contains that very same call in a situation like that on an England tour

I'd say it is that Merv Hughes one as well.. Because it goes.. "BOWLED 'IM!.. Oh the last ball, can you believe that"..
Haha it's gradually changed over time, but they always keep that same line in there. I'd say it's up there with my most heard sporting quote of all time. Great intro.
i miss trying to catch the cricket ball the batter used to hit back at the screen :(

I still miss seeing Bevo's 4 off the last ball against the West Indies all those years ago. That was the best end to a game ever... (besides the 3 South African world cup disasters)

I'm pretty sure Bichel bowled someone on the last ball of the day s few years back, but I could be wrong.

Yep, just watched that bit on the Merv video. It was definetly Merv bowling Gatting with the last ball of the day. Ironically the same test that Warney got Gatting with that "ball of the century" in the 1st Innings. Memorable test match for Gatt :D

Warnie also did, too, around the legs of Basit Ali in the last ball of the day

Warnie also did, too, around the legs of Basit Ali in the last ball of the day but i think the ball in question was a yorker. And yeah, i always thought it was bichel

No, in memory I don't think it was a yorker that was bowled in that commentry, Merv just bowled a middle/off stump half volley that Gatting missed.
I was talking about people getting out to the last ball of the day.

I've always wondered what it was...
Dunno why I thought it was "I find it hard to believe that...".
I know the last words are 'believe that'. I'll have to pay attention next time it comes on.
