What has Chris Connolly done to the Dockers? Up until this upstart arrive at the club, ya didn't need a membership. Ya could just rock up to any game and pick any one of the 25,000 seats available. No lining up to get in, no lining up to get to the bar .... bliss!! Even better before they filled the bloody place up with seats.We use ta take our picnic blanket along and spread it out on the lawn, have a little picnic with the kiddies, have a few tinnies that we would sneak into the ground in the kiddies backpacks. I remember the kids running down to the fence yelling out to Dougy Hawkins "how's about a tip Dougy!!!" Dougy would turn around with that cheeky grin, give the kids the big thumbs up and a wink. Holy shyte.... he wouldn't even hear them now with all that screaming and hollowing going on.
Fair dinkum Connolly...wotcha think ya playin' at!! Ya got every freakin' bandwagoner west of the rabbit proof fence jumping on board. Now the bloody missus wants ta mortgage house so she can buy membership. Scared some of the games mite get sold out and she mite miss out on a game!! I should have listened to me Dad. He told me " let em out of the kitchen occasionally and before ya know it, they will want ta be going out all the bloody time" I should have listened to me Dad.

Credit where credit is due, Drum played a role in fremantles current success.
He did bring us Haselby and Pavlich.
People often forget that Conolly walked into a gold mine much like Malthouse.
Conolly has worked wonders but he was handed it on a plattered.

Speaking of Connolly, When does his contract expire? With all the talk of Schwabby getting the chop if he doesn't make the finals you would have to start thinking about extending his contract.
Maybe he will end up back coaching Croad again.:D

He was hired on a 2 year contract, so immediately started talking up his 3 year plan, then he got another 2 years extention, so out came the 5-8-10 year plan.
We're still all waiting for Mission Man's 100 year plan to be published in full.

He is ahead of schedule & the only thing he is failing at is trying to keep a lid on it. Wre doing our part by not talking it up to much ;)
