The Eagle was in great form today in the Intra-club match and well done to him.

My question is what does he have to do for all the doggie fans to get behind him, and is that Scenario possible.

Is the Monty,Powell trade something our fans cant forgive.

Methinks they are separate issues.

The trade was a bad one and has taken too long to pay any sort of dividend.

If he continues to play like he did for most of 2003 and like he did today then the fans will get behind him sure enough.

To be honest, I barely heard any Eagle bashing after about Round 14, 2003. I think fans will get right behind him as long as he keeps up the good work. That said, they'll turn on him faster than you can say 'trade-bait' if he goes back to his old habits. He's just one of those players.

I think he'll do alright this year. It's no coincidence that he hit top form when he was put in his best position (i.e. on the ball). As long as he's left there, he'll be fine.

.

I think you are the minority though old school and alot of our fans blame him personally for the Trade, which is absurd but an actual fact.

One thing about the Eagle and he showed it today in the intra club match is that he never goes the first option and looks beyond that, which I admire about his game.
I hope he does well this year.

I think eags will do alright this year(well im hopeing he does anyway), if he can keep up his form like that of the 2nd half of last year then yes the fans will most likely stick with him, but if he goes back to the way he was in the 1st half of the season then im pretty sure the fans will be on his back again.
