LVFL - Under 17s to new clubs

it's easy to see that the u/17's standard has dropped considerably when u have the likes of nathan matthews kicking 12 goals and apparently being one of the best players for marong.

Nick Younghusband from Inglewood U'17s would definitely attract some bendigo clubs at the end of this year. Got good pace on him and has immaculate ball skills.
Having a good year so far, too bad others in the team are letting him down...

Totally agree with that one young dessie... Big Nick has been in rampaging form for the navy blues this year... Just a pitty that there isn't a couple more like him in the team...

the standard is very good like newbridge, miti, bridgy and calivil but its the lower teams that is the real problem. nathan matthews isn't the reason y the standard has drop its the likes of inglewood and serp.

Unfortunately theire is to many sides going aorund in the bendigo region, and unfortunately it is easier to play in town the travel to the likes of Serp and Inglewood. Marong shoulod never have trouble recruiting players, but unfortunately clubs arent as fortunate marong. The core group of players at serp are very good i.e Matt Larkins, Steve Gladman, Andrew Davidson, Brenton Osbourne. All of which have been playiing seniors in a very good side.
From the rumors going around, Marong may be in for a surprise this weekend....

well marong won by 10 goals

who reckons Newbridge should play the Castlemaine 18's in an exhibition match?
could see a close game! be interesting to see the difference in standards

yes would be an interesting thing to see with newbridge obviously being the benchmark in the u/17s, not only being one game clear on top but also an extra 250% on other teams.

apparently the u/17's lodden valley league is going to collaspe at the end of the year dew to years of ugly, ugly kids coming through. any truth to this rumor
