It's actually not that unusual, although I'm curious why this one made the press.

Pub I drink at, one of the barmaids had a guy with a wierd fixation on her, and towards the end, one of the things he gave her was a copy of his police record (I said his fixation was wierd...He also gave her train timetables, and copies of love letters he'd written to other women.), which included several intervention orders taken by barmaids at other pubs and 2 or 3 AFL players.

Needless to say, on his next visit, a few more regulars than usual were there and he was told both that his interest wasn't appreciated, and that he was banned for life.
