Murphy / Judd by a mile.

As much as I want to hate Judd for shafting West Coast, he truly is one of the greats. Murphy is starting to surpass him as Carlton's best midfielder and one of the best in the game.

I really enjoy Pendlebury's game, but I really am not a fan of Swan at all. To me, he doesn't contribute much to the side aside from over-the-top possession counts. He racks it up but his presence is never really felt, unlike Judd, Murphy and Pendlebury.

Bartel had a couple of good seasons and is a really good marking midfielder/half-forward, but I wouldn't put him up as one of the greats. The whole "Brownlow" argument isn't substantial, considering Adam Cooney won a Brownlow, but no one carries on about him being one of the great midfielders. Joel Selwood is good in-and-under and influential at times but again, doesn't compare to Murphy/Judd.

So it's definitely a Murphy/Judd win, a combination which reminds me a lot of Cousins/Judd of 04-06.
