****ing great song!

Tired epileptic charade
Get on the plane and fly away
I knew you when
I knew you when
You had something to say

The Twentieth Century

Has not been particularly kind to me
So when asked to define
You feign the benign
And decline to answer properly

You feel threatened now

There's other icons flying higher now
As you grab for the past
You know it won't last
There's no need to describe it

I hope someone else is driving you

I hope someone else intelligent is driving you
Now the myth disintegrates
Nothing else is permanent

Re: Pogues @ Festy Hall = Amazeballs!!!!

Hi Y'all in particular Blackshadow, T'toes, Pharro if you still exist and Kangalicious, etc, etc

This thread is a cracker. I check it every now and then and the music is genearlly pretty good. I only now just realise how good Soundgarden were and wish I had have given them more respect in the 90's. Other bands pop up that get NO airplay and it's great to reminisce back to the good old days.

I must give credit to Big Lidge for intoducing to me during the Assumption College years, the following bands;
V.Femmes
T Rex
Canned Heat
The Stones who I didn't rate as a youngster!

keep it going and don't forget Glam and Punk

Probably just get on down to Festival Hall for Dig it Up if I can.

The only sideshow for the Sonics is sold out i think.

You won't find anything going on there! Dig it Up is at The Palace in Bourke St!

Love the song, love the video (not sure if official), although everyone knows the woofer should be at the bottom:rolleyes:. Great anthem.

Beatles meets Stone Roses.

Following them closely from now on. Debut album is top stuff.

Has my recommendation. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

SB, agreed with The Replacements. Amazing band, many great albums (Let It Be/Hootenanny/Pleased To Meet Me)

Play it LOUD!
