**** I hate 10.

Despite watching every class of every round (bar Qatar) last year, I thought watching Moto3/2 in HD then ShitD for the premier stuff would be unbareable, I came home about half way though the race and was gobsmacked by how shithouse it looked.

HD is so much more important for MotoGP than F1.

It's seriously affecting my enthusiasm for watching the races.

Edit: Oh I shouldn't forget, great stuff Casey:thumbsu: Really was getting it sideways a lot in those last few laps did great to hold on.

Great ride by Casey, and a great race.:thumbsu:

It looked like Lorenzo was going to get past him with a few laps to go but the great little man timed it to perfection.

Gratz Casey.:D:thumbsu:
That is why he is the best...

Bogey track, straight one on one shoot out with the home hero & beats him fair and square!!!!

When the going gets tough, Casey Stoner gets going!

That was an amazing stat about it being the 1st Italian in 3 years to win a race in any class
I didn't realise Rossi's drought was that long.

That was only in the Moto3/125 class. Michele Pirro won the final round of Moto2 last year and Rossi won in 2010 (most recent win in their respective classes).

Agreed. Their coverage is all over the joint especially going to ads for so bloody long during Moto2 that they came back for the red flag. Foxtel needs to get it back alongside the fta coverage.

Casey was fantastic. Just when it looked like Jorge had something lined up for the last couple of laps, Stoner pulls something out of reserve and simply walks away from him. Mind you, they both got lucky that Pedrosa was so timid early on, he was hosing them down at the end of the race. Ben Spies is a mystery and would rightfully be feeling very nervous at the moment. It's early days but he has Dovi and a very impressive Cal Crutchlow pressing for his factory ride next year (especially as one of them will lose their seat to Bradley Smith next year).

It's looking like the best title chase in years.

Happy 25th Birthday to Jorge Lorenzo :thumbsu:

Anyway Practice 1 was wet and Practice 2 had better weather.

Stoner pips Cap'n Dani by a bees knacker with the very impressive Cal Crutchlow continuing his great form to qualify on the front row again. Cal is super motivated, and somewhat pissed off, after Dovizioso made the 'observation' that it was Cal's superbike background that seeing him so competitive and the Andrea was still getting used to the M1. Cal's response is that he continually studied Lorenzo, Speez and Edwards data and now he is the most like Jorge and that "Maybe he needs to change his style to ride like a Yamaha". I do like a good inner team rivalry! Also, Ben Spies finally has his mojo back and will be strong for the race. With he, Cal and Andrea all fighting for two Yamaha seats next year, it should be an intense race.

Colin Edwards won't be racing after crashing and breaking his collarbone. Well, I say that he crashed but the reality was he was the innocent victim of Randy de Puniet's crash. Colin pulled aside to let Randy through, as he was on a hot qualifying lap, only for Randy to lose the front and take Colin down with him. Not what the Texan needed.

It will be interesting to see if Pedrosa can pull out a gap at the start of the race, or will Casey etc hang on to him and then get past after a couple of laps.

Stoner was fastest in morning warmup by 8 tenths over Dani, dipping into the 1:36's for the first time this weekend. Whilst running away is Dani's M.O. I don't think Casey will let him get away if he can get a decent start (as we all know Dani will holeshot). Not sure if anyone will go with them over race distance but Lorenzo was won there a lot so won't write him off and Ben has been fast this weekend and has a point to prove.

Casey was doing four 1.37's and two 1'36's from what I have read which is insane

good start and no arm pump issues should mean Casey will win this comfortably

Now has a premier class (I think) win at every track on the calendar.

And regains the title lead :thumbsu:

Stoner, pfft. Once a crasher, always a crasher. ;) Brilliant ride by Casey. Yep, that's right about him winning everywhere now. His race control is second to none these days. Just held a comfortable pace through the race with a little left in the tank for the end. They can try talk up the Honda being better than the Yamaha all they want but the fact is, without Stoner, Yamaha would have three wins now. There's nothing between them except Stoner is a shade better rider than the rest. That is all.

Lorenzo is riding like a champ but the last two races must be doing his head in. Casey just has his measure at the moment and can slip him at the end of the race.

Ben Spies is doing my head in. Fast all weekend in practice, gets away well then makes a mistake and spends his race dicing with a rookie on a privateer Honda. Needs to get something sorted soon coz there's two hungry blokes on black Yamahas who would desperately love his ride!

Great ride by Casey, once again he sucked them in by conserving his tyres (and probably his energy) mid race, which allowed Lorenzo to close in, but they were never getting past.

He has a one point lead in the championship now, still any of the top 3 could win it all.
