Ugh screw it, I'll save it for the train ride in the morning. Not fussed by it Logger, the previews/commentaries/summaries have been great this carnival.

I'm not getting cranky... I just think this match, which is effectively the Grand Final, deserves at least the same quality as the other matches leading up to it, that's all.

OK, well, my original plan was to do youtube videos of the game with audio commentary of me, Eth and Gibbsy.
Unfortunately, after 6 hours work, I'm only 15 minutes into the game which lasts a total of 100 minutes. So let's play some choose your own adventure:
a) post the games now, with no additions
b) I upload the video of the game as I captured it, with no audio
c) we wait the 3 weeks it takes me to finish the whole thing.
d) I do regular text commentary (which takes me 2 hours)
Thoughts?

Yup, just screen capped qooty. I'll post it (sans audio) with the text.
And yeah, I thought I could sit down and commentate it in one sitting in like an hour, but even on the slowest setting the text goes way too fast to read it alloud or even paraphrase. Plus people with inconsiderately long and complex usernames like Prospect Vale's Finest kept stuffing me up.

That's why you nickname like "Fly" "PVF" "Jobe" "Okey" and etc instead of trying to state everyones moniker phonetically. We'll still know there's a "Saint" in front or "3votes" and either of Filthy Shanchez's extras, which is probably why this needed more planning and is too much for this particular match.

Quarter time now and Metro lead by 12. It's mostly come down to their forwardline and they've looked by far the most dangerous side. Just about every attack came through Gilbert_Hodge and away through there. G_H is really tearing it up out there and The Allies need to find a way out of defence while shutting him down. IMS has been inspirational, but The Allies just need to calm down a little bit and stop turning it over and missing easy goals. As Gibbsy. would say if he were doing this quarter time summary: "Jobe, mate, you need to step it up, because I'm watching you!"
It hasn't been easy for either team with the weather playing havoc with disposal, but The Allies have been rushed by Metro's ferocity and they'll need to match it to stay in this game.

In the shadows of quarter time the captains collide. Easty had his head over the ball one second, then IMS's hip was over the ball and Easty was nowehre to be seen. Really tough and inspirational from both captains there.

Quarter time now and Metro lead by 12. It's mostly come down to their forwardline and they've looked by far the most dangerous side. Just about every attack came through Gilbert_Hodge and away through there. G_H is really tearing it up out there and The Allies need to find a way out of defence while shutting him down. IMS has been inspirational, but The Allies just need to calm down a little bit and stop turning it over and missing easy goals. As Gibbsy. would say if he were doing this quarter time summary: "Jobe, mate, you need to step it up, because I'm watching you!"
It hasn't been easy for either team with the weather playing havoc with disposal, but The Allies have been rushed by Metro's ferocity and they'll need to match it to stay in this game.
