Called to watch an interesting game on Friday Night at pakenham. Devon meadows v ROC which Devon won by round 20 points. Not sure who was missing in each team but over heard a Devon official saying they were missing 4 of there top 6 players... Then noticed Dehey doing the running not even playing. Good signs for the meadows they played well looks the change is a real positive.

Pretty quiet around here considering the season starts soon.

See that Narre has signed Andy Soumilas, ROC signed Linc Withers and Kev McLean has crossed from Hampton Park to Doveton.

Suarez kicked 9 out of 15 on the weekend, must of done something right.

Narre gave beacy a fair hiding, after i think a few suggested beacy would be a big improver

HP Pakky and Keysy look like they might fight it out for the spoon this season

Did anyone see the Dovey game and give them a chance to push Cranny and Narre or are we all waiting until they play stronger opposition until making a prediction?

I dont understand how Packy aint a powerhouse with the size of the township.
Clearly must be issues of the field.

The income stream of the pokies has been cut because the Paky was in debt and sold there old Football Clubroom( which was the pokies venue) to the Racing Club.

If that is wrong then I apolgise but that is the goss around town.

Pakky has won 30 flags in its history which is a great effort. It's pretty sad what's happening to them and it make take a few years, but I'm sure they'll be back. They really struggled in the U18s last year from memory, so that may put them back a bit. However, for them to lose so many players, including guns like VCFL rep Tex Walker, then their is definitely something wrong out there.

watched narre v cranny today, game looked over at half time with narre doing it so easy.cranny kicked 7 or 8 in the last term to win by a point.

Didnt see the game but Narre would have to be disappointed being 7 goals up at half time and not finishing the job? How did Cranbourne get up? Could be an very expensive exercise if Narre cant reverse Saturdays result especially with so many good kids in the club.

In the local paper today,

Pakenham have parted by mutural Consent the coach after 3 games.

Considering the uproar of Buskaya leaving Hampton Park to Join Narre this season, kicking 15 aginst his former club last weekend sure rubs a fair bit of salt into the wound.

Fair enough Buskaya left due to not being paid but what about all the seasons he played there & did get paid?
