More info on Robert Gray:
Robbie backed up his break out 2014 campaign with another outstanding season in 2015. He averaged 26 disposals, almost 8 clearances and more than a goal a game to emphasise his status as our most consistently damaging player. Robbie’s best games are too numerous to list but he did win his second Showdown medal in the first Showdown against the Crows which was probably the high point of his season. At season’s end, he was selected in the All Australian team for the second consecutive year, a superb achievement and one which is richly deserved.

He was nominated this year already so he cant get nominated again
Wrong. Nathan Jones from Melbourne was nominated in 06 and 07

Anyway, I have said it since day dot, Gray will be the pick of our super draft.

Yeah players can be nominated twice. Quote from the official AFL website:
Players must be under the age of 21 at January 1 of this year and must not have played more than 10 senior games before the start of this season. They also must not have been suspended by the AFL or state league tribunals during the season though, as with the Brownlow medal, players found guilty of certain offences and fined or reprimanded remain eligible.
Robbie Gray is a quality player and has proven he should have been taken earlier in the draft. :)

My bad I didnt realise that they can be nominated twice if they played under 10 games

Quality indeed but his career may come to nothing if he can't stay injury free. In which case those who passed him by will be vindicated. I very much want him to stay fit and play a lot of games in 2008. Our own Garry Ablett Jnr.

Robbie at training late Jan 08. He's been doing some specialised work and lap running in the late January training sessions (as well as competitive work), but no reported injuries so that might've been a niggle or they're just keeping him fresh. Should be playing in the internal trial today (Saturday 9 Feb).

Re: Dream Team League

Hey guys, just wondering if you think Gray will play all year/if he is a worthwhile prospect?

Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated

Re: Dream Team League

Is Robbie expected to play Rnd 1? I've heard he's had an outstanding pre-season, and I was definately impressed with what I saw last year.

Cheers

Re: Dream Team League

I'd expect him to get plenty of game time this year. As for playing round 1, your guess is as good as mine. You'll know before lockout though ;)

on another port adelaide site here at big footy there is a mention that he did not complete the full training session with the other players

Robbie ready to wreak havoc

Note the distant, dreamy, glam swooning look? He makes my heart flutter just a little.

Watch for the quick feet and dancemoves this arvo, if his form on the nightclub dancefloor is anthing to go by, he is in for a biggun.....

welcome back robbie - hope you stay injury free and keep spot in team - was unsure if ready to play AFL yet as games in SANFL were ordinary, but not too bad today

football is like a TV show - one minute your in and a hero and next time you are out and the villain. It is a pressure game and tough game both mentally and physically
