Resource List thread - Inaccuracy in official records

I checked last year's book, and those two were still there, so they've only just removed them from the list. The Kevin Webb issue was raised on here about a year ago, and checking through old emails I can see that I let the editor of the Season Guide know about it. This is what Steve Rodgers...

Doedee is on the 2019 Season Guide list. Kevin Webb is the other one who's there out of those (6) you've named.

And 1 goal! Very promising indeed.

    Research Recent Deaths

I'm rather sure that name hasn't come up on here as a recent death. The link (to the funeral service) you provided is for someone who died in 2013, and it's not the ex-Melbourne player: If his Wiki page is correct, the Melbourne player was Robert Davis McKenzie. His father was Robert Davis...

Arthur Pound is on the list in the AFL Season Guide. Jeremy Nichols isn't named.

    Player Watch Wil Parker

That probably should be "Wil I Am", but then again the thread title (which seems to have been renamed recently) should be Wil Parker, not Will Parker!! Especially as he's about to launch what promises to be a fabulous career, it would be nice if we had him named correctly from the start! Mods.

This would be rather hard to beat (Alan Didak - Collingwood vs West Coast in 2010): https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/2010/041820100703.html

I presume they'll want to keep that spot open in case Alex Condon is still a chance to join us.

This appears to be another case from the same round (that's not found in the records):

List Mgmt. 2024 Mid Season Draft

I think it's a very strong chance as well! As always, there'd be a huge amount of 'sooking' on here from the usual types, those who tend to say "it's a free hit"! We've shown in the past we're only interested in taking someone in this draft if we see them as a long-term player; short-term fix is...

List Mgmt. 2024 Mid Season Draft

They're not really that far short now (compared to e.g. 2018) in terms of list sizes. Back then it was a maximum of 44 Primary List and Cat. A Rookies, while now it's 42. Clubs could have 3 Cat. B Rookies, and now it's 2, but not too many of them are seen playing at senior level anyway. I do...

List Mgmt. 2024 Mid Season Draft

I just added a bit to that post of mine which I also think is pretty reasonable. It's a fair bit better now than it was in terms of replacing long-term injured or retired players mid-season. We have 43 players on our list - (the minimum) 36 on the Primary List, 6 Category A Rookies, and 1...

List Mgmt. 2024 Mid Season Draft

No, you have to wait until the mid-season draft before you can bring in a replacement. Melbourne didn't get to bring in someone for Brayshaw a couple of months back. It used to be that you could bring someone off the rookie list onto the main list to replace a long-term injured or retired...
