    Hume Football League 2016-2019

Couple of big weekends coming up for Holbrook and Culcairn. Next weekend the Lions celebrate their 2007 Premiership reunion, whilst the same weekend, the Brookers will be holding their 125 Year Reunion. Both would be great days to be playing, especially the Brookers day v Brock-Burrum, with the...

This year would have to be one of the most even in a long time. Following the young Brookers each week and they have been a chance in each game. Great to see and good for supporters to go to the footy each week hopeful of a win.

Went and watched Holbrook v Henty today in an up and down contest. Young Brookers played 2 men down most of the day (around 3 quarters) but couldn't peg back an early lead. Some very questionable calls, for both sides all day. Showed how close the comp is as Holbrook, who are 0-4, were probably...

Holbrook to celebrate the Club's 125 yr Reunion on 17 June, the Rd 10 game v BB Saints. Hoping as many past players, officials and supporters can come along enjoy the footy against a predicted top side, then get back for what will be a great gathering.

Non-playing coach at Mitta. No doubt Dicketts will do a great job with Mountain Men in 2017.

Thought Sedgwick was easily BOG - couldn't believe Jindera let him run around with zero pressure - he just carved up the Dogs - Morey was good, but behind Oates, Sedgwick and Ronnie Boulton - who towelled up Walker

    2016 Season

Pretty sure nearly every club in premiership years outlay coin - Thurgoona were whipping boys for a long time and have gotten their act together on and off the field - I imagine there is plenty of $$$ left and it may be a good run for the Dogs in the foreseeable future

“The ground isn’t that big though." Having ran around on Walbundrie a bit over the years I'd suggest Mr Maher may be found a bit wrong...expecting BB slicker mids to run all over MM bigger bodies

Another close loss for the Brookers this week. Whilst hard to take, it will be lessons learnt and hopeful less accepting of a 'good effort' in a loss. I think that is 3 or 4 this year under 5pts.

Great call by coach - the one thing a young list doesn't need is a bad role model. Damaging player who the club could have stuck with to sneak wins, but shows the coach is making a stand and attempting change through attitudes and standards. Good luck Whitey!

Looking forward to RD 1 kicking off with the Brookers taking on the Crows. Hoping to see the younger brigade take a big step this year - no excuses as those mid-aged 'boys' now up between 50-100 games. Looking forward to a cracking Comp and hopefully some upsets!

Brookers name Adrian Whitehead as coach. Some good experience there to coach along a young list.

Congrats to Dossie on a great win by the young Brookers today! Tremendous club win and one that will continue to help the Brookers build for the future. Hope dossie continues into the future as his young list has plenty of potential!
