Thy way Melbourne used Melksham against Andrews was a clear sign. And the Pies matching him up with Howe. Adams has been a big loss. But hey .. Lester is filling a vital position which is more surprising ( in a good way ).

And he does not own a TV. He off the grid in his own way. Growing up a 6'8" Daniher in Melbourne is no stroll in the park. Good for him.

Hodge like .. if only. He was by far the best mature age recruiting we've had since Mal Michael / Martin Pike in 2000.

He's the fire starter. When his head is in the game and his kicking is on, we look $1m. The key to our game plan is bravely switching play and getting to the forwards one out. That's what he does. Even tho' we lost to the Demons, those 2 quarters showed what we can do when we keep looking for...

He seems to rely on his height ( duh ! ) so when Cox .. or Gawn ( groan ) .. out-reaches, he has no plan b. We should try and do better imo.

He provides a quick inside first-possession release to get the ball outside to the runners. Credit to him for maintaining his form and composure after Ashcroft was clearly preferred. Team player.

Lot to like about Eric tonight - torched Maynard a few times and his goal kicking from the 50 is excellent. AhChee is a total lock. He's got skills to burn and real footy smarts.

We just get smashed by any really classy big guy. Especally Gawn. In fact - always Gawn. He's inside Oscar's head. Something's got to change.
