Mate, you quoted three different people, there's no logical connection. I would never use Mike Sheahan to prove anything other than what a nuffy Mike Sheahan is.
The connection was 3 supporters from 3 different teams were saying 'Mike' doesn't know his $hit but Essendon supporter using it to prove Zaha > rest

and a North supporter Wells > Lids etc

Would I be wrong in saying that this thread has nearly ran it's course?

Ridiculous comments like the one above yours would indicate so but it will be worth revisiting over the course of this and following seasons, and at the ends of their respective careers.

Early days Deledio had Wells covered but the last few Wells would be on top.
Both fantastic players to watch when at their best. Interesting that they're both gun golfers too. You just know they'd be those guys that are good at everything. Pricks!
Be interesting if Wells/Deledio gets tagged less if a few others start standing up. That could be the difference

Well no, we have swallow & Cunnington who are similar so think you are way off.

Similar to.... Zaharakis @ essendon who consequently I rate below lids.

So in effect:

Wells > Deledio > Zaharakis

Ziebell quite rightly is rated above Deledio.

Wowee...Ziebell is no where near the player Deledio is at the moment. Come back to me when he is an All Australian and avg more than his 21 touches a game.

Wells and Delidio being equal is up for debate.

But no wayyyy is Ziebell better than Deledio. He might be in the future, even as soon as the end of this season.

BUT as of right now Deledio easily has Ziebell covered.

Correct. Ziebell is obviously a young gun, but will need to improve a heap to match Deledio's output.

Deledio is far from a gun golfer. Played in the Richmond golf day and his cap would be in the teens. Jack is a gun.

Don't agree with you re Wells being better the last few. Lids was All Australian team in 2012 and had a good year in 2013...Wells has also been good.

Wells won a B&F and made the AA squad last year. There is little between them going into 2014.

Michaelangelo Rucci had Deledio in his top 50 and not Wells.

For some balance.

He also had Rory Sloane @ 11 ahead of all Norf & Tigger players just to prove he has NFI.

If its just on midfield ability then Wells wins easily imo. Deledio wins in the versatility stakes

Reckon that's a pretty good summation.

I'm glad Wells is really putting it together as at the top of his game he is great to watch. So smooth ... the Mark Waugh of the Roos. Unfortunately for him it is that movement that has probably led to past criticisms - he always looks like he has another gear.

Like they would want Wells either!, he hasn't even got tagged much in the past it has always been Harvey and Swallow getting it, I think it is up for debate if he is in your top 3 midfielders this year.
You fool. Swallow never gets tagged. Do some research before you make a RICHMONDLIKECOMMENT.

Richmond have tagged Swallow for ages?

Lets see if any Richmond supporter agrees with you. Id suggest never have Richmond put a hard tag on Swallow always Harvey & or Wells.
You need to study the game not the newspaper or where ever you get your observations from.

Apart from the fact the Deledio doesn't kick goals.
Last year was the first time Wells has kicked more than 17 goals in a season. Deledio has done it three times.
