Ok so being a season ticket holder with a reserved seat in the southern stand means I have to wait until wednesday OR buy a port 3 game ticket + guest pass if I want to get in earlier?

Agreed and now the club are giving AFC non ticketed members exactly the same opportunity to get a showdown ticket as us 11 game members who have paid $300+ and for some reason Essential members get access a day earlier.

The Essential Memberships were SANFL run in 2011 and before, then the clubs (Port and Crows) took over the running of these memberships from 2012 I believe.

That's correct - 1 July 2012 was when the clubs took over Essential Crows/Power. The club also acknowledged any previous years the Essential Crows members had been a silver/gold member for as well, which was nice of them.

When I look at the Ticketek website atm for the Showdown, it has all the different types of tickets available; however, when they go on sale for Crows members on Wednesday, will there be a special link there for members to put their barcodes in and choose seating? Or do we just have to go through one of those ticket types and put our barcode in that way?

I would say it would operate in a similar way MCG finals work - you have to enter the barcodes on the first page before you reach the ticket selection page. Once you reach the ticket selection page, then you pick where you want to sit/stand.

Also looking around for a friend I found this.

Guest Pass Information: The ability to purchase guest passes is strictly subject to capacity and for the Showdown on Saturday 29 March (4:10pm) there are currently NO GUEST PASSES available for sale due to the demand for this game.

I thought there was going to be 500 available, either sales have picked up or someone is getting a good deal.

The Crows just confirmed this on their Facebook page.

Quite possibly. That would be highly embarrassing for Port and football in this state if they couldn't even crack 50,000.

Crows membership twitter just tweeted that the last batch of tickets were sent out late last week and should be received by Tuesday. If not, call the club and they'll give you your barcode number

If they aren't actually holding tickets back for us and just relying on Port members not selling it out it should be the same for us. We should get an extra day of pre-sale for our non-ticketed members like they do and it should sell out in that period.

If they have been forced to hold back tickets until our members pre-sale day or general public then it should be the same or less as a percentage for them from us. I can see Koch trying to claim we should give them more tickets because they gave us more tickets by not selling it out and to unify football in SA or something.

I would love to see a "sorry guys but the crows have 50,000 members and we've got no room" attitude given it's going to be so difficult for crows members to get a ticket for this first showdown.

I will never sit with them neanderthals again, some banter i can handle but after i was assaulted on my way back to my car last april (THEIR SHOWDOWN ) that was it for me, this will be the 2nd ever showdown i have missed, im devastated to miss such a game as this one.
