Sommet Sports and Sky Sports renew their broadcast deals
http://aflnz.co.nz/afl-announces-3-year-nz-broadcast-agreement/

Each week Sommet Sports will broadcast a minimum of five matches live and the remaining matches on delay. The rights include live broadcast of the Toyota AFL Finals Series matches (including the Grand Final) and a weekly highlights program that will air over 28 weeks (on holdback).

Sommet Sports and SKY Sport also have the right to broadcast all NAB Challenge preseason matches between February 12 to March 1.

SKY Television New Zealand will also broadcast AFL matches during the premiership season; one AFL premiership match per week on delay, one AFL finals match per week on delay, the Grand Final live and both ANZAC Day matches live. SKY Sport will also air a weekly highlights program first following each round of matches.

Hi guys!

The Paris Cockerels are currently renewing their kits.
Because of the price, they are looking for sponsors.

Each year, they are title contenders in the French Super League.
They also participate in European tournaments.

If your company is interested in advertising to Aussies who live in France or in Europe, you can contact them to display your brand on their jumpers: comcockerels[at]gmail.com

For more information on the team, you can visit their website: http://www.pariscockerels.fr/ or their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/ParisCockerels

Thanks for your help!

Edit: I read the forum rules and I couldn't find anything about sponsorship research breaching them so I hope it won't be considered as spam. :)

A brief summary.

AFLNZ has a deal with the Harbour region in NZ (6 schools) to provide AFL.

1. A 6 week Ozkick style in school Kiwikick program to 2500 students (payed for by NZ government)
2. Then they follow up with an after school footy program provided free to up to 15% of the regions school enrollment. Not sure where the money comes from, at a guess NZ government.
3. Provide a Play AFL clubs program to link the after school kiwikick kids to local footy clubs (provided free).
4. Provide coaching accreditation and resource kits (free) to the schools so they can keep running the programs even after AFL NZs involvement is over.

Not sure if this is a sign that the AFL is deadly serious about expanding AFL into NZ, or just that AFLNZ is really on the ball.

If they can make these programs a success so that other regions keep jumping on board, footy can make big inroads fast.

It's on again. We were all excited by the Renee Tong story where she (eventually) won $10,000 to enable her to contest the 2014 AFL International Cup to be played in this August in Melbourne.
Now, we have Aussie X with a chance to win $50,000 to run their sports programs in Southern Toronto. Aussie X came to prominance when they won backing in the TV program "The Dragon's Den". Since then they have brought Australian Rules Football, cricket and netball to Toronto, Vancouver, Calagry and London. Aussie X were instrumental in establishing a junior AFL in Toronto. Now they have a chance to do the same in Southern Toronto.
All you have to do is "Like" their video. Link below. https://mlseteamupfund.org/Charity/...42-9a82e0932f98?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

Here's the results of the SCAFL's Round 3 last weekend. Zhang reports:

Gidday All

I am very pleased to tell everyone we won two games on the last Saturday game. That is a big progress for our team.

Through half years training, our boys has improved the skill and the experience of the game. I think we will become strnger with more training and more games. As HK don't have enough players so it is not the strongest team of HK, Hope we can win them when they have the best team. Hope we can have a good performance on the following SCAFL games.

I have upload the photos to the Scorpions Website. please go there and watch that game.

Still the same time training, Sunday morning 9am.

Emirati friend of mine back when he did his final years of high school in Melbourne. Developed his love for the game and is now the first Emirati to play in the Middle Eastern League.

Here's a description of his most recent match:

Ali Al Hosani – This man is faster on foot then an Emirati on Sheikh Zayed Road. He used his pace to find space and created opportunities, including kicking 3 great goals from his own boot and the match winner.
