Playoff banter
This is a thread for the disenchanted, the disheartened or the extremely happy.

Please post your starting five and depth chart of current players in the league, who once played for your supported franchise but no longer do.

I am keen to know because the former Pelicets Is very formidable.

Rules of this is: This current NBA player must have played for your supported franchise at some point. And must still be playing.

The all time bane of my existance team is as follows

C: Chandler, Okafor, Anderson (Birdman)
PF: West, Landry, Ayon
SF: Ariza Xavier Henry
SG: Jack, Bellinelli, JR Smith, Green (Willie)
PG: Paul, Collison, Vasquesz, Bayless (Jerryd)

I left certain players out due to zero real production during their tenure. Son of Skeletor Thoughts?

All of the well informed fans of the BBall board please post your teams ex best.

You left out Hilton Armstrong and Aaron Gray? For shame ;)

Most egregious omission is RoLo, although that could just be the post traumatic stress of letting him walk..

Off the top of my head - Chucker Thornton and Brandon Bass were second round picks of ours. Kaman is another ex-Hornican, Quincy Pondexter too.

Rasual Butler is still technically playing in Indy - does he count?

I'll give you Rolo. I left out Bass due to almost zero production for us. Thornton is glaring. (holds the rookie record for points in a game)
Kama was junk for us, I would seriously rather Steimsma...... Q-pon never got a gig but landed us Vasquez

I will not merit the Rasual Butler question with even a sarcastic response, good day sir

PG: Greivis Vasquez / Toney Douglas
SG: Kevin Martin / Tyreke Evans
SF: Ron Artest / Mbah A Moute / Hedo Turkoglue / Gerald Wallace
PF: Patrick Patterson / Thomas Robinson
C: Samuel Dalembert / J.J Hickson

That's off the top of my head. Shows how much we've battled ever since being eliminated in the first round of the 2006 playoffs, some scrappy names in there.

Here's a rough Celtics squad...

PG: Chauncey Billups / Nate Robinson / Jordan Crawford
SG: Joe Johnson / Ray Allen / Tony Allen
SF: Paul Pierce / Gerald Green / Courtney Lee
PF: Kevin Garnett / Glen Davis
C: Al Jefferson / Jermaine O'Neal / Kendrick Perkins

The difference is remarkable between Sac-town's and this :p

PG: Sean Livingston, Mike James,
SG: Mike Miller :(
SF: Caron Butler, Dorell Wright, Rasual Butler, Michael Beasley (has played for Miami but no longer does :p)
PF: Shawn Marion, Shavlike Randolph, Jarvis Varnado, Lamar Odom :p
C: Jermaine O'Neal, Ronny Turiaf, Alien Head, Josh Harrellson

Bit light on in the back court and a bit crap overall. :p

Agreed, Kaman was junk (and thankfully still is).

Bass's lack of production was totally our fault. He was with us two years and should have been a perfect fit to give Mr. West a breather during games - I mean he pretty much plays like a poor man's David West! But no, we had to play freaking Cedric Simmons and Linton Johnson... ugh.

Says a lot that Bass left for a better team in Dallas in 2007 and immediately saw his playing time increase ten-fold. Thank you Byron Scott

Come on, I set it up so nicely for you ;)

Mind you, Butler was still probably better for us than Xavier Henry - be interested to see what happens with X.

Looking at the names on that team, it's depressingly deep at point guard and in the front court. Could sure use RoLo and Ariza on our current squad..

Look on the bright side - it just means that good players seldom leave Miami.

You left out the world's goofiest looking Republican.

Pop your stuff in big Z(ydrunas) and Mike Bibby's vacated lockers, and let ol' Shane Battier give you the tour."
