player movements 2014 / 2015

Players moving is for the good of the game, particularly if they go to a state short on in a particular area. NSW, QLD and VIC all breed excess home grown talent, they stay stuck behind players which is arguably what happened to the test side, then other players don't come through as all the spots are taken and then you've got to wait five or six years after losing two crops and instead of one, when they're all the same age and out of the game.

seems like up to half our (best Shield)team are interstaters

Batsmen leaving Victoria is good because Victoria can't develop s**t
Well, we develop bowlers kinda well. But batsmen we're horrible at developing, maybe partly because we don't have a bating coach which is just plain stupid.

He's a bona fide spud. Hill should get games ahead of him.
Well, I hope that by moving to Tassie he can de-spudify himself. He couldn't ask for a better chance to establish himself in first-class cricket given the state of our batting.

Looking more and more likely Kevin Pietersen will end up playing for the Stars. Wonder who misses out out of Malinga and Wright then.
Probably Wright

That was my thinking too, but Malinga's a bit more unreliable with the Sri Lankan cricket board pulling him out at a whim whenever they feel like it. May stick with Wright and look to get another local player to cover him.
