Just got back from the game ......few points then bed and ill follow up tomorrow .
Sicily ....Smart footballer with great hands , just gets to the right spots .....got some s**t about him to !! Learn,t today hes done a bit of kick boxing and can use his hands ....
Hartung ....High work rate and great skills ....been told by the club to take the game on atm , run and carry when the opportunity presents which he does .
Cegs was the key .....had no real opponent ( both cats rucks 197 ) and took adv of the situation .....around 50 hit outs and controlled the center .
Lake .....Christ he's flacky , just does stupid s**t .....lucky he can play imo ( will be looked at by the mrp ) .
Brand ( shoulder stinger early ) .....kids come on a mile , great spoiler and can rebound , his progress will make Shoey redundant imo .
Shoey ...did well and another game under the belt .
Can also report Boxer will not be sub giving him a good crack at it Mon ......good luck Mitch !!

Great win away, with Grimley seemingly having a good game just makes you wonder why he didn't play last week against Sandringham, i heard he missed due to team balance but surely not. He wasn't listed as injued at anytime last week.

He missed thru injury due to a knock that saw his ball bag blow up ......no s**t .

Halfback Dasher, can u give a quick rundown of Grimleys game? Sounds like he's showing gradual improvement and learning how to be a forward...do you think he's capable of playing the 3rd tall in the senior side in the near future?

Ceglar was the X factor in the 4th quarter. Dominated the ruck and for the most part gave silver service to the BHH mids.

Schoey found some AFL form in the 4th quarter. Muscled his opponents out of the contest and took the mark on about 4 occassions.

Lake and Sicily played right into Geelong's hands. Got baited, reacted physically and as soon as they were touched, the Geelong players hit the ground and with the way the umpires were umpiring, Geelong got the free.

We have some top notch depth atm.
Ceglar was excellent.
Sicily was impressive and is a smart player.
Heatherly is mint.
O'Brien was good considering the average delivery he got at times.
Brand, to echo HBD's comments, has improved out of sight.
Our young mids aren't scared to get their bodies in there and hit their opponents hard. They should have been rewarded with HTB far more than what they were.

Only one who frustrated me was Grimley. Saw the best and worst of him tonight. So, so athletic, but when he jumps at a pack and doesn't win the ball, he stands there and watch. No second efforts. He isn't a ruckman's arsehole either. On the plus side, he's nimble and aglile considering his size and can kick some small forward-esk goals. Turns his KPD's inside out when the ball goes over the back.

Having a vet. like Sam Iles is what makes a side like Box Hill always competitive. The rest of the BHH players all added something to the team all played their role well creating a deep team.

Finally, when BHH got the ball forward quickly, it was hard for Geelong to stop them. The almost always got a shot on goal when it went in quickly. Pity about our poor conversion. Could have had the game iced at quarter time, but alas, we let them back in but, in the end, they got the win.

Sounds like a really good win for the boys. What is extremely impressive is they did it without our best BH mid (Hallahan) of the past 12 months, and no Anderson who was in some good form early in the season. Considering the BH team has lost Langers and now Hallahan out of the midfield since last years GF it is encouraging to see the team get it done.

Grimley doesn't sound like he has changed much since last year, he has so much potential but he lets himself down with is work rate and follow up efforts. It's a shame because a ~200cm forward who can clunk a mark and has a good vertical leap can be a very dangerous thing.

Did the dev squad play?

Didn't play. Looked ordinary in a pom-pom beanie though. Needs Gibbo to pick a good hat for him.
Should be back next week as he was pretty banged up in the shoulder last week.
Made me laugh.

BOG - Hartung
It's just a matter of time with this kid, isn't it. He runs and runs. No doubt in his first few games he's been running without reward at times, and sometimes into others space, but that he runs so damn hard, and consistently means he's a match for how we want to play.

This is a MASSIVE win !!!
A lot considered that Geelong would go one better this year, that they would be the team to beat given the amount of experience running around for them. Fair call and Port Melbourne are also a favourite.
Well Box Hill will surely now be touted as hot faves and a big chance to go back to back aswell as the Hawks.
To win the Grand Final replay like this down in Geelong is a fantastic result !
It will also give the Hawks some extra confidence and motivation going into Monday's game.

Good to see Ceglar continuing on his good form from the AFL. He seems to have moved way past Lowden and Grimley as our No.3 ruckman.

I've also been impressed with what little I've seen of Hartung so far (only on TV).

Sounds like this was a really good game and a great effort by the boys to go down to Geelong and play the pussies under lights to come away with a win.

Hopefully, a good omen for Monday!
