Mourinho has bigger fish to fry in the CL, no way is he going to care about the EPL. He is a mastermind manager, he knows all the angles and how things can and will likely pan out. I think personally, he would rather lose the title to a team that has not won it like forever compared to City. Thats just my opinion.

I realised though this is where the problem for us could be, we could play against a team with no care and play with a lot of bravado, which is scary. The players coming in may want to be included in a potential CL final and so will give us a very hard time. In fact it would be better for us, if Chelsea were knocked out of the CL and potentially could win the EPL, as they would have something to lose on Sunday.

Jose has said that he wants to rest anyone who is required for the return leg of the CL.
I'm reading into this that he doesn't hold much hope for the league title.
They are $34 to win the league.

I'm reading it as Mourinho is talkinb bullshit again

Even if he puts out a B side don't count on them not trying. A few of them could be playing to earn a spot in a potential Champions League final.

For any of the SA based liverpool supporters, get down to the Arakaba.

"We go again!

A massive game this Sunday night as we host current 2nd placeholders, Chelsea. A win for the redmen will put an end to Chelsea's hopes and further our own claim to the title.

This week, we have a dedicated venue, "The Top of the Ark" function room at The Arkaba Hotel in Fullarton. With capacity for at least 600, this ought to be an epic night.

Get there early, kick off is at 10:30pm, Sunday 27th April.

COME ON YOU REDMEN!!!"

Martin Atkinson to be the ref. Good solid choice. No history this year of note with either side.

My second most hated ref, ever since he sent Mascherano off against Fulham. Only Webb has dudded us more than that prick.

Lucas to miss out for me. I think he's the lowest on the pecking order now as far as our midfielders go.

Agree. Gash against Norwich. Operated at about 50% of the speed of Hendo. He can only play as a DM and Gerrard is now in that area of the pitch.

Schwarzer playing is a bonus for us. Always been poor with his feet and should be closed down at every opportunity.

Not sure the BF Liverpool forum is required reading by Brendan Rodgers & the team before the game!;)
If we don't win the title, and there is the distinct possibility that we won't, I don't think it will have anything to do with us!
Or I could be wrong and they all actually do read it, then they go "well Faith reckons the title is in the bag, foot of the gas boys".
Either way, exciting isn't it:D

Not even a LFC title will entice me to the Arkaba.

Chelsea's side will come from its 25 man squad and will be a very good side. Cahill and Ivanovic in the middle with Cole at left back. Torres or Ba up front , with any number of quality midfielders. Promises to be a cracking game. Liverpool 4 Chelsea 2.

Just read an article about Sterling being the best teenager in Europe.

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...ws/liverpool-fcs-raheem-sterling-best-7021545

It's an interesting read. It pits Sterling up against some other top teenagers across Europe, namely the following.

Domenico Berardi - Juventus (on loan at Sussuolo)
Bruno Fernandes - Udinese
Max Meyer - Shalke
Timo Werner - Stuttgart
Keite Baldo Diao - Lazio
Lucas Ocampos - Monaco
Adnan Januzaj - Manchester United

It lists the following statistical categories, Goals, Assists, Shot Accuracy, Key Passes per game, Chances created, Successful take-ons, Dribbles per game.

Came up with a quick points system. 8 players. So each category if you finish first in that category you get 8 points, finish second you get 7 points, finish third you get 6 points and so on. Finishing last in a category gets you 1 point. Pretty straightforward.

These were the results.

Raheem Sterling - 52 points
Max Meyer - 44 points
Adnan Januzaj - 34 points
Domenico Berardi - 33 points
Time Werner - 33 points
Bruno Fernandes - 26 points
Keite Baldo Diao - 26 points
Lucas Ocampos - 14 points

I'll just leave these here then...

There's 2 young players I believe don't get the recognition they deserve. Emre Can and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
