If it somehow stays this way...

I love the hill, and for those who would get tickets otherwise they wouldn't love it at all. But for a showdown final is there any chance they could add some temporary seating and get another 10,000 in?
Would get more people in as standing room than seating

Saturday arvo I hope.

Friday: Port Adelaide v Adelaide (Adelaide Oval)
Saturday: North Melbourne v Essendon (MCG)
Saturday night: Sydney v Fremantle (ANZ Stadium)
Sunday: Hawthorn v Geelong (MCG)

You've got some of them around the wrong way I think.

They usually put the QF's on Fri and Sat so the losers don't end up with a shorter break than the winners of the EF's who they finished higher on the ladder than.

In this situation I imagine Haw/Geel would get Friday and the Adelaide teams would be relegated to Sunday.

Hard to imagine both MCG finals being day games. It's not the way the AFL does things.

LOL, why would Essendon Vs North get Saturday over Hawthorn Vs Geelong?

Here are the pros for Hawks Vs Cats being on a Saturday:

  • Better rivals
  • More significant clubs
  • Higher placed finishers (therefore deserving extra rest)
  • Higher crowd potential

What are the pros for Essendon Vs North being on the Saturday?

Most likely Hawthorn v Geelong on Friday night, Sydney v Freo on Saturday afternoon, North v Essendon on Saturday night and Port v Adelaide on Sunday.

Possibly, but Saturday night seems to be the AFL's preferred slot for games in Sydney.
